The coffee area is my favorite part. The ambiance is absolutely perfect and allows for a great time. The coffees and small eats are always delicious. If they have the daily special of chili con carne I would definetly suggest it! Also you can get a great Irish coffee. The staff is always very friendly and if they cannot speak English they are always friendly and accommodating. Overall, I would say frikken awesome. I wish I had a Gessler in my hometown.

Al porto is a lakeside restaurant/bar with an amazing location. On a corner this restaurant has…read morewindows on two sides, a view of the pleasure boat harbour on one side and a view of the lake and Swiss mountains on the other (note: there are many other restaurants that have only the lake/mountain view). Al Porto has outside seating (summer) on both the harbour and lake side. This gives it another great advantage because the harbour side stays in the sun much longer than the lake side. This means that one can sit in the sun much longer than the many restaurants on the lakefront east of Al Porto (between Al Porto and the train-station/commercial harbour). BUT, unfortunately some of the food did not taste fresh (salad), and the description of one of our meals on the menu did not fit with what we got. The service was of the 'tourist restaurant' style. I guess one cannot expect more in such a massively popular tourist destination, right on the lake front. What I mean with tourist style is that the waiters are running and only have little time per table. Great service in such a place is not needed as all the tables will be full anyway.
