My mother, and my Aunt and I wanted to eat at a casual cafeteria for brunch, so we went to the…read moreWestfield State Dining Commons. The food was splendid and mouth-watering. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner (Monday-Sunday.) The breakfast had the essentials such as eggs, bacon, home fries, pancakes, and oatmeal. Everything on the breakfast menu looked good especially the waffles. The waffles you had to make yourself because you can add whatever you would like onto it such as blueberries, strawberries, whip cream, and chocolate chips. The waffles were flavorful and sweet. The Dining Commons are in the middle of the college estate so you have to drive around for a little bit to find a good spot. We could not find a spot that was close until one of the college students left. We took that spot and overall, it wasn't a bad parking wait but the 2 minutes driving around to find a close enough spot could've been the time I was eating. The food looked very appealing sitting in nice trays or in stands or bars where you could quickly grab and go. I chose the eggs, bacon, home fries, and waffles. The home fries were red with a half-burnt crust. They had a crunchy outside yet a moist, soft inside. The bacon was crunchy and chewy, exactly how I wanted it. It was greasy and salty too. Everything was heavenly from the breakfast to the desserts and it was so amazingly tasteful that I was full until the next day. Some of the desserts were rich and creamy while the dinner was savory and zesty. Every food either is vegan, vegetarian, local produce, sustainable, gluten free, or whole grain. Almost all of the foods there are so incredibly good for you that it's probably the best place for you to eat. The atmosphere of the room was very lively and bright with the college students in the morning, afternoon, or night trying to catch a meal before classes and having a good luncheon with their friends. Yet it is also calm and relaxing as you know that you don't have to wait on waiters or waitresses to bring your meals and drinks. It is nice to know that you can stuff your face and can still be in control of the waiting time for getting anything you want. Compared to restaurants, I think that this place is more effective and independently much better. At restaurants you probably have to wait in line for a long time just to wait on a server for some more time whereas at the dining commons it takes up to 2 minutes to find a spot and go straight inside, pay for how many people there are, and then eat right away. I recommend this place to everyone who likes to sit down and have a good time but eat whatever they want and be in control of getting what they want, and when they want it.

Food was good and accommodated dietary restrictions, and sleeping accommodation provided a bathroom and mattress but no sheets (we brought sleeping bags and pillows). Everyone really enjoyed the big swing and Alpine tower activity. Our group was large enough that they split us up to do each activity - my group enjoyed the firestarting/survival shelter activity but not as much as the swing/tower. The swing is doable for anyone, and you can decide how high you are pulled up before swinging. The tower is challenging and only one or two of our 15-person mini-group was able to reach the top. Plan to wear clothes that you can move around a lot, and walk in the woods in. They did not have a large indoor meeting to sit 30-40 people, but we were able to fit in a room off the main cafeteria, with some people sitting on tables/the floor. The campfire at night was set up ahead of time for us, and they included materials for s'mores. The guide was sure we'd have enough supplies but we ended up running out of some parts (they're called s'mores for a reason!). The staff there ran a cultural sensitivity activity for us, which we enjoyed with everyone in our large group.

Camp was always an important part of my childhood growing up and they are always set on beautiful lakes. It also allowed all of our guests to spend the whole weekend on site and participate in the outdoor activities that we love. We researched and looked at over 30 camps all over New England and I truly believe that we picked the best one. The grounds are beautiful and all of our guests were comfortable. What really elevated Camp Lenox was the staff. They were all so helpful and kind. They did not hesitate to drive guests around in golf carts or run across camp to get something for us. One guest was on crutches and said that she felt like she had a tracker on her, because whenever she needed to go somewhere, a golf cart was ready and waiting for her. The staff also did an amazing job setting up the reception area for us. They cared about the details and took their time. It was very apparent that they had done weddings before. It was so nice to invite all of the camp staff who worked our wedding out on the dance floor with us at the end of the night to celebrate the special day that they all took a part in creating. A few special shout outs are in order. Luke, the director of operations, was our point of contact during the planning process. He was always quick to respond to emails and answered all of our questions. He takes a lot of pride in the weddings that he organizes and it shows. He made the planning process so easy and we trusted him fully. Victor, the camp chef, made incredible food. My one worry planning a wedding at a camp was the food would just be ok. Boy, was I wrong. I have friends who are still talking about his potatoes, and my wedding was seven months ago. All of the meals were delicious. The camp owners, Rich and Stephanie, were so welcoming and kind. They are very proud of their camp and wanted to ensure that each of our guest were comfortable. 10/10 would recommend Camp Lenox for your wedding!

The space itself is big, with several areas for different classes. All of the equipment is frequently inspected and maintained- when any tape gets worn on an apparatus they remove and repair it. The intro to aerials class gave me confidence on the trapeze, fabric, and Lyra. I've moved onto to level 2, and there are so many other advanced classes for me to chose from! Performances are always optional and there are classes for all ages.

If you see a one star or low review here around this time, let the buyer beware…read more Here are the things you should know from someone who has actually been to the studio: 1) SHOW is an amazing, respectful, and welcoming environment for people of all backgrounds. They have extensive policy written up on inclusivity, diversity, and safety - all of which is available for anyone to read on their website at www.showcircusstudio.com. 2) Their teachers care about their students and are highly trained circus professionals. Many of them went through the professional track program at the New England Center for Circus Arts, are members of the professional circus organizations, and are active in furthering their circus education and training both on their own and through the studio. They go through monthly staff training as well as additional off-site trainings to constantly improve their skills and give a high quality, recreational circus education for students of all ages, body types, fitness levels, skill levels, races, economic backgrounds, etc. 3) Show is a recreational space. They don't expect you to do back flips when you walk in the door or even after your finish classes. You progress through a carefully planned out and studio standardized curriculum and are going at your own pace. This means you aren't forced through a leveling up system, but take a class until you're ready to move on to more advanced skills. In this way, your only competition is with yourself. 4) If other reviewers think the space is dirty and poorly organized, I recommend going in and checking out the space for yourself. Chris, the co-owner, does an amazing job of organizing the space along with Henry, the other co-owner. The lobby is GORGEOUS and the studio itself is perfect for recreational circus skills - vibrant colors, clean, and rigged to perfection for easy changes between classes. I'm very impressed. I highly recommend SHOW to anyone, especially to the LGBTQIA community - as SHOW and its staff are strong allies to the community. I wouldn't feel safe in a gym situation and I've never felt unsafe at SHOW. I cannot speak highly enough of them and my experiences with the studio.

Plenty to challenge older / more experienced kids, but also moving at a pace the younger crowd can keep up with. Last year, her favorites were kayaking and caving. This year, raft-building and caving. She starts each day excited for a new adventure, and comes home worn out and so full of stories. The guides have all been fantastic - knowledgeable about the trails, history, and environmental topics; good at setting expectations about the day's activities and rules; and great with kids of varying abilities. Caving may be the best thing about this program. Our family hikes & paddles regularly, but caving is best done with a guide who's done the cave before and can set expectations realistically. When our daughter comes back from the caving days, her clothes are wet and filthy, she tells stories about impossibly narrow and tight passages, and she grins the whole time. It's such a great experience and has really expanded her enjoyment of our outdoor adventures. My only request is that the guides would give parents a list of where they went, complete with recommended parking and recommended routes - so we can try these things too! Well, except the caving. I'd want a guide for that!

Our guides were Anna and Benjamin and both were great with the kids. They told us stories and taught us all some facts about how the caves were formed, what was down there, and how they would look in the future. We explored some of the larger areas of the cave and also some of the tighter passages. It was peaceful, challenging, meditative, and fun. It's also worth noting the care Anna and Benjamin took to make sure that everyone had a pleasurable and safe experience. They were supportive to push us to get a little outside of our comfort zones but were equally supportive and attentive if someone felt they had reached their limit. It's been two days and the class is still talking about the trip. I plan to get as many of the kids and parents together to do this again some time in the near future. I do not have enough words to express the gratitude I feel for this experience.
