I recently hired Attorney Mandy Pingel and staff to represent me in my Divorce case and her dedication to providing excellent customer service and going above and beyond to communicate with me through every step of my case made everything far more manageable. I should also mention that the legal fees were far less than expected and I never felt that I was being taken advantage of financially. I was only charged for the actual time that each service took to complete and small fees were regularly waived. My case was complicated by the fact that I am serving in the Military and stationed out of state in North Carolina resulting in a significant time and distance barrier. While researching Law Firms in Kansas City, MO during late in 2018 Davis | Pingel stood out to me because of the online reviews from Service members that had good experiences working with the Law firm while stationed out of State. I contacted the law firm to set up a free consultation while visiting family in KC over the holidays and met with Attorney Mandy Pingel. She immediately made me feel at ease by answering all my questions and assuring me that she would be able to handle my case given the challenges of cross-state communication. Having never been involved in a legal dispute such as this, I didn't know what to expect and felt overwhelmed, but was relieved to feel that Attorney Pingel had my best interests in mind. Once I enlisted the services of Attorney Pingel she quickly started the process in filing for my divorce and kept me informed each step of the way. What I was most impressed with throughout the process was how seamless communication was. Every time I had an issue or concern Attorney PIngel would address it as soon as possible despite her busy schedule. I could contact her after hours or during weekends and always received a timely response. There were several obstacles that I encountered over the course of the divorce process due to my ex-wife's efforts to delay the court hearings in order to continue receiving military mandated spousal support. However, Attorney Pingel was there every step of the way to provide sound legal advice. The biggest challenge to my case was that I received deployment orders and required a court date prior to my deployment date which was late in 2019. I had a very narrow window in which I could make a court appearance in Missouri due to training and other service-related obligations. Furthermore, she was able to close out the case and finalize my divorce with only one court appearance. When I asked for a meeting, an hour before the meeting, a list of steps appeared that did not go along with the details of my case. When I met with my lawyer, she wanted to defend herself instead of figuring out how to move forward. She seemed annoyed that I bringing it up, even though this is a domestic violence case that will escalate as soon as something is filed. I would not recommend this place.

As the accused, you are a trophy and/or revenue to an extremely long list of corporations and people who derive their income from your conviction. Matt knows he's all you have. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE…read more I am very dissatisfied with how my case was handled. After finally reaching an agreement with the opposing counsel, they refused to honor the agreement. Unfortunately, Mr O'Connor did nothing to see that the agreement was honored; he made absolutely no effort on my behalf. This could have been resolved in my favor during the final court hearing however, Mr. O'Connor did not bother to show up in court that day for the hearing. In addition to mishandling my case, Mr. O'Connor's behavior toward me was utterly repugnant. While we were preparing for the hearing, Mr. O'Connor was extremely impatient and condescending. When I hired him I told him that I had never been in court before and had no idea what to expect. Rather than explain what the Judge's expectations would be, how best to answer questions, and walking me through the process, he belittled me and even yelled at me. Mr. O'Connor turned a situation that was stressful and upsetting to begin with into a complete nightmare. I have placed this review in the past and removed it each time due to threats from Mr O'Connor. I feel that it is my right to share my negative experience with this law firm, however, Mr O'Connor has threatened to sue me for defamation of character if I do not remove this bad review. I am not removing it this time because everything I have mentioned in my review is true Mr O'Connor was very rude to me while handling my case and he did not achieve the results he promised me, my experience overall was a negative one. The PFA was eventually removed after my ex secured the home and temp custody, of the children. At that time I hurredly rushed through to find an attorney. This is a mistake that I will never make again. Not all attorneys or firms are created equal. Not all representation is good or beneficial. Which was proven by Tyler who was professional and informative. Tyler called out the efforts that filing this 2nd PFA was committed to doing which was an effort to keep my children from me. Unfortunately this happens... Tyler worked with opposing counsel and was able to get it withdrawn. Even if it's not valid...the courts dont and won't necessarily take that same stream of thought. Which is why the attorney in your corner means everything in your case. Divorce isn't about bad relationships it's about whom knows and wields the best understanding of the law. So don't rush to obtain someone with a juris doctorate. Do some research folks. Wish I'd done so previously. This firm didnt handle my divorce but I do have an expectation for service and quality of care now that this firm set the standard. I bet if I had this firm my entire experience with the courts would have been different. I felt represented with this firm.
