I didn't panic, but after retracing my steps didn't work, I stopped looking and decided I would indeed find them when I stopped looking for them. After "not looking" for 24 hours, I called the office. Lee was empathetic and offered to have my house key, mail key, and gate fob replaced and delivered to my door as soon as possible. Immediately upon hanging up the phone, a thunderbolt hit as I remembered changing my "Valentine" door wreath to a "Let It Snow" door wreath. There were my keys, dangling by the car key fob from the snowman's hat. I immediately called Lee to stop the key remake when Serena told me Lee was already getting things started. Now I'm sure some lady losing her keys wasn't the most important task to be done, but the ladies laughed (WITH me of course) but making my little problem was indeed important to them. What used to be a nice complex…read morehas turned into a place where the apartments are old and outdated, with lack of proper maintenance and the surroundings are filled with rotted out buildings and cheap landscaping. There is nothing luxurious about it. The management is failing long term residents by not valuing their length of residence and commitment to creating a neighborhood atmosphere, resulting in very high turnover. Tenants that have shown loyalty and pay a premium for renting have to fight to get any type of upgrade, let alone matching appliances that actually work. Maintenance requests are handled poorly and results are shoddy. There are water pipe busts at least once a year in buildings and there is never clean up follow through. The people in the office exude less than stellar genuineness in regards to service requests and concerns regarding the property. Island Club used to be a great place to live. Not anymore.

I like the friendly pet and family atmosphere. As an empty nester, I downsized into a spacious bedroom, kitchen, living/family room and walk in closet space arrangement. It has worked perfectly for me and my doggie and my adult kids when they visit! The Water's Bend leadership is professional, friendly and responsive if there are any issues that need addressed. My apartment has a lovely, warm fresh decor and every year when renewing my lease, I have received upgrades in my apartment. There is ongoing construction to the buildings, ripping off siding, putting up OSB, a whole new facade. I work remotely and have had to cancel calls and meetings because of the noise. The apartment complex refuses to make any reasonable accommodations. They will not even let me know when the contractors are working on my building so I can make arrangements to work elsewhere. They simply said the construction is going on for the next 60 days so I can plan on not being able to work in the apartment for the next 60 days. They taped up my apartment door without notice. I couldn't enter or exit. For the next 60 days, we are to have our balconies cleared and all decorations removed from the walls. They also overcharged me for a storage unit and refuse to acknowledge my refund request. One of the office staff, Bre, threatened me with an eviction notice. I am not renewing my lease with Orchard Of Landen, nor would I recommend them to others.
