I was very pleased with my visit to Living Word Family Church today. You are greeted with warm,…read moreand friendly faces as soon as you enter the parking lot. The presence of the fruits of God's loving spirit is spread all across this Church. I was very impressed with the many opportunities that are in place to help with your spiritual practices, growth, relationships, and faith. There are many ongoing classes and programs set up for all age groups from childhood to adulthood during the week. It was also a delight for me to be able to worship in a very diverse environment which is not easy to find. Diversity is certainly in Heaven and it should be in God's house of worship on this Earth. Which is how God created his people. Pastor Micah does an excellent job of explaining the scriptures and speaking on behalf of our Father in Heaven. The worship and praise music was perfect. Great place for anyone looking for a Church Family.

Every passing Sunday fortifies my gratefulness to have found and to be a part of this church…read more Crossroads is a family, a community, with solid biblical teaching, but most of all, you can feel Christ's love in this church. This is what a church is meant to be. In addition to two Sunday worship services, there is a wonderful kids ministry with great programming (like Awanas and VBS), small groups, classes, studies, volunteer opportunities, support, prayer, etc.

If you're looking for a church full of perfect people who always do it right then keep moving. In…read morefact, you'll pretty much never find that. *smile* the reality is that a Christian church is a place where sinful/imperfect people, come to serve a merciful, gracious, forgiving, perfect God. I have been going to Crossroad Fellowship for about 2 years now. they have 2 locations, one in raleigh on millbrook road, and one in wake forest. The wake forest location had been meeting in a school until they were recently given an opportunity to move into a church building that already existed. While the location they are in looks like a traditional church, don't be fooled. Crossroads is less traditional and more, forgive the wording contemporary. You won't find an organ and hymnals inside, but you do find imperfect people who are striving to worship and serve God with all their heart. it's always good to remember the church isn't a building, but the people who are in it. Pastor Andy is the campus pastor for wake forest. He has a great sense of humor and keeps you engaged while still challenging your thoughts and encouraging you to grow in Christ. Small groups are available, which are vitally important when trying to become apart of a larger community. I really this is a great church, with great people. Be involved in a small group and you'll find a great sense of community. Community is important when living the Christian life b/c life gets hard sometimes, and it's nice to know you have a good support system around you. I would encourage anyone to come and visit! services are at 830, 10, and 1130. And earplugs are available (although my husband, who usually has worn earplugs to church says he doesn't need them here)!

Every now and then you stumble upon something that seems like a great thing and you make your…read moreresting place. Crossroads is large- yes! But They have many small groups. When I arrived 8 years ago I thought I had landed in a mini airport. I was thrown off by the size and I wanted to retreat. However, a little " getting lost in the shuffle " was what I needed at the time. Coming from smaller ministries where everyone knows you and expects everything from you.... Crossroads felt like an awesome respite, or break away from the rules. I could go in the sanctuary or I could sit in the walking area and have a coffee. Too casual for my liking at the time, but after a busy week chasing children and being super... I soon realized how the coffee and the sofa and the atmosphere of smiling strangers and the overtones of a positive practical message playing over the speakers ... well that seemed pretty comforting after all. I eventually made my way into the main sanctuary... and at other times I chose the secondary room with tables and chairs instead of the traditional seating. They eventually added a third room that was for more traditional worshippers. The youth activities were exciting and they did win over the hearts of my children very quickly. The options for classes was definitely helpful. I was used to the Bible study that everyone attended on a Wednesday. Crossroads offered financial classes, marriage classes, divorce care classes, single parenting classes, women's classes , men's classes, blended family classes... and more. I had a list of things I wanted to change about the church but I felt strongly that I would only go to another church and find a list there too. As a vocalist and professional performer I wanted to re do the entire music team until I met the worship pastor with a heart for God like no one I had ever encountered. He wasn't showy and he loved to serve. He's gone now after 9 years of service there but he raised other leaders to take his place. I learned that it wasn't about the quality but the leader's hearts. I do visit other ministries from time to time but I keep finding myself back in this great ministry. It's a great place for a timid believer to start. A great place for a seasoned but burnt out believer to regain a connection. This is not an arm twist because I believe in freedom to go wherever you feel loved, but I do encourage some who feel interested to give it a try. The diversity has grown and is still growing. My son is not the only African American in his classes although he may be one of 5 when the rest ( 15 or more) may be white. But to each his Own because that doesn't bother me. As for the comment about tithing... I've never in 8 years heard any pastor speak like that about giving. I often joke that we don't say enough about it. Just know that if it's your first time you definitely don't have to even think of pulling out your wallet and if you come back then we still won't bug you. Come grow at your own pace! No pressure...

Have not attended in person.
