As a first-time homeowner, one of the things that honestly had me second-guessing buying a house…read morewas the yard work. I work in healthcare and routinely put in 12-14 hour days, so the last thing I want to do when I get home is spend my free time mowing, weed eating, and maintaining a yard. I can't even remember the last time I cut grass--it was probably when I was in high school, and let's just say I'm getting pretty close to the half-century mark now! When I moved into my new home, the yard was overgrown and needed immediate attention. I reached out to Yard Dad Services, and Raphael responded the very same day. He came out quickly, provided a fair and reasonable estimate, and got the job done fast. Now Raphael and his crew come by every two weeks, and I couldn't be happier. The quality of work is excellent, the pricing is fair, and the reliability gives me one less thing to worry about. Thank you, Raphael and Yard Dad Services, for making homeownership a little easier and a lot less stressful. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for dependable, affordable lawn care. I'll definitely be referring my friends and family!

The experience was absolutely awful. If you need yard work done, avoid this company at all costs…read more They have poor customer service and provide dishonest quotes. They lure you in with a discounted price and verbally promise to complete all work. Once on‑site, they cut corners. Tasks they verbally agreed to include were later claimed to be excluded from the service. To make matters worse, they threatened to call the police if I did not pay. They even claimed they did not inspect the backyard during their quote visit. Excuse me? We explicitly mentioned both front and back yards over the phone, and they confirmed the price covered both yards. I have hired numerous yard‑work contractors before, and this is by far my worst experience. Because their cleanup was incomplete, we requested them to come back for re‑cleaning. After an argument, they did show up to do the additional work. However, during this follow‑up cleanup, they still refused to perform the bush-cutting and debris‑removal they had verbally promised. When we followed up to check on the status, they completely ignored our messages and only kept demanding payment. Too busy to argue further, we simply paid the bill to resolve the situation. Since we do not live at that property, we were vulnerable to their tactics. Full of pitfalls. Stay far away. I am writing this off as an expensive lesson.

Believe the bad reviews! James Watt is insane. We had the misfortune of using him in June 2024 to…read moreremove a large tree from our front yard. I am writing the review now because my husband and I agreed we would wait until we moved because he's so unhinged, and we were scared that he would retaliate if he knew where we lived. We had to call the police just to put this on record in case anything happened to our property because he kept texting me and calling/texting my husband. He even started calling and texting my husband at 12 am. He then went on to tell my husband he doesn't wear any pants in the relationship and shouldn't allow me to make any decisions. Read on... James had one of his workers take down the tree. The deal was to include grinding the stump down. The guy didn't do that, and the issue remained unresolved for quite some time. Finally, the guy came back and grinded the stump (not completely, but we didn't complain). The problem is, he left the grinded portions all over the yard in a giant mound. I spent time bagging it all up myself. Our regular lawn guy came around and charged us $80 to bag the rest. We informed James we would deduct the $80 from the total or he could complete other work to receive the remainder. He didn't like that. Crazy thing is, we have several mutual friends from high school somehow. My friends are quite normal, so I'm not sure who would hang out with someone like him. Check out these insane text messages where he wants to bring me on his boat, insults my character and my husband. These are only the ones he sent me. He also sent my husband insane texts. Oh, and he responds to the negative reviews with such venom. Make sure to check out his Google reviews. They are WILD!
