I have been to this class multiple times, and Nicole always leads us through creative sequences that are restorative and energizing. Overall, I always appreciate the lively atmosphere that Nicole creates where you can be focused but still relaxed. And I always leave the class feeling grateful for the delightful experience she facilitates.

The offer free lunch to seniors Monday-Friday at 11:30am. They also have food box distribution Friday mornings from 8am-12pm for $1 donation (the food boxes contain $20-$30 worth of food). They also have a free little exercise room right near the gymnasium (some cardio & weightlifting equipment). My favorite service they provide is the FREE ZUMBA CLASSES!!! Classes are Monday-Friday from 9ish am -10ish am (I add the "ish" part because they usually start anywhere from 9:10-9:20 and the class lasts about an hour). Not only are the classes free of charge, they let me bring my kids too (1 year old & 2 year old)! It's not always easy as a mom to find a fitness class that doesn't mind if your kids run around the gym while you work out, so this is a nice little perk, and my kids have made some new friends :) I'm so thankful for SWIC and all the valuable services they provide to my community! See you at Zumba!

We did wait on the wait list for over a year (we had gotten on the waitlist when i was early in my second trimester and had wanted to start at 8 months but a spot didn't open until he was 9 months which is pretty typical for daycare waitlists in the area). The building itself is very new and very elegant. We love the shared "playscape" area which is indoors and covered but is a large space for the kids to play when it's too cold to go outside. All of the teachers have always been friendly and approachable. Miss Ivy in particular knit hats for all her students with their initials as a holiday gift and our kid absolutely loved it. Ms Lily has been so kind and caring. The teachers post regular updates throughout the day about meals, diapers and photos/videos of what they're up to. Any minor incidents they also notify us through the app. The food they feed (breakfast, lunch and snack) them seems varied, tasty, and relatively healthy. The administrative staff have changed since we started but we haven't noticed any disruptions to usual activity. Similarly, our child's teachers has changed 3 times since starting in the toddler room but we haven't noticed many differences as everyone was wonderful and we love our current teachers. They have a curriculum and we've been impressed at all the activities they've done with them. The place has a parking lot shared with the church but designated spaces for pick up and drop off only. Finding a spot is not an issue though it can get busy at peak hours. If you are coming from Yosemite St, there are always a lot of cars and trucks parked along the street (I believe there is subsidized housing there) which creates a lot of congestion so not the most ideal route. Also, the driveway closest to the playground off of Yosemite street is not very smooth and if you have a smaller vehicle without a lot of clearance room, I would avoid that driveway

The communication is exceptional and the school is amazing. Each of the teachers we have met are incredibly loving and take great care of our kiddos. The building feels very secure and we love the indoor and outdoor play spaces. I have a great curriculum and activity calendar so we can talk to our kiddos about their day and the things they are learning about. Water day Wednesdays are a favorite! They also have extracurricular classes (tumbling, music, soccer) that are fun additions for those who choose (for an extra fee). While we have only been at the school for a short period, we have loved it so far and certainly plan to stay long term! Update (after 6 months at the school): We have absolutely loved our experience at TGS Central Park. We were so thankful to be welcomed and to have our kiddos be in a safe and nurturing environment where they could flourish at TGS CP. We have had great experiences in both of our kiddos age ranges (toddler and preschool rooms). We love that diversity is celebrated every day in the classrooms and that each student is encouraged to be their own unique self. The teachers have been exceptional. They are warm and caring while also helping our kiddos to learn. They are transparent and helpful in navigating parenting toddlers! The leadership team is always so response to our concerns and questions and approach things thoughtfully with the students wellbeing central in all decisions being made. We always feel well cared for at TGS Central Park and recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional care.

This location provides the studio space for the current Artist In Residence (A.I.R.) and space for the interns who work with that person. There is also a gallery space. PlatteForum hosts periodic art shows here in addition to the gallery at its headquarters. PlatteForum is a very worthy organization that provides a safe space for disadvantaged youth to express themselves with resources, career, and development opportunities. The internships are paid so there is no barrier to participation. Groceries, therapy, and tutoring are provided if needed plus all arts and technology supplies. Forty to fifty high school students participate for one to four years. The core program is the opportunity to collaborate with the professional artist in residence, but PlatteForum provides many other avenues to positive development including initiatives led by the participants, wellness workshops, career training, new experiences, and long-term mentorship.
