Beautiful cats and nice women, but I think they want to keep the kitties lol. It's more a place to…read morelook at sleeping cats. VERY gate-keepery. Right off the bat, you must remove your shoes, which I can understand, I guess. I felt shamed for having only a one-bedroom and renting. Their faces were shocked! You can't take home a cat the first day, as they do extensive background checks which can take awhile. Every cat I asked about, was unavailable. I even asked who most needed a home/ who has been here the longest and she said "it's not really a matter of them NEEDING a home" and trailed off ;) I felt like I wasn't good enough to adopt a cat from them! They made me cry I was off my hrt, though and I'm sensitive. I could go on, but I'll stop. They do love cats! Queen Kitty is less fancy, the people more normal, has more cats, a quicker and easier process while still making sure you're safe for the cat -- and $100 less expensive with all the shots and neutered. They were happy to see us and showed us many cats. They actually wanted people to adopt them! The boy I adopted had been found in a speedway parking lot in WD and did need a home. Very happy and my kitty slept with me in bed from day one! Meant to be:) I went ahead and stopped donating money and gifts to WW, but still have recurring cash donations to several cat charities, and attend to a few of their Amazon wishlists. These cats are very happy where they are! They don't need anyone to adopt them.

Just a note, only the happy hour menu is available during that time. For drinks, I was going to get the Hugo spritz but they couldn't make it on that day. I got the regular Aperol Spritz which was good. Got the smoked salmon deviled egg as an app; pretty tasty bite. For my main, I got the burger and it was nice. The meat was nicely smashed to a crisp. I appreciate that they carry gluten free buns too! The fries were pretty good too! Another note, no desserts during happy hour but they have like cookies and muffins. It was a very hot day and they were able to keep it nice and cool inside!

Unfortunately I feel like I kind of fell for a picture/instragram trap. The place was very nicely designed, but the rest was very underwhelming. First two items we tried to order they did not have in stock (10am res). The biscuits & gravy had almost no sausage in it, and just tasted like flour. The bacon was $8 for 3 burnt pieces!? $11 mimosas that's have very little to no champagne. My wife settled for her third choice, Benedict which was decent but of course the most expensive thing on the menu. Service was nonexistent for the most part, and then when we did get helped there was no recommendations when asked and no refills unless we stopped her. Luckily there's many other brunch options in Pittsburgh, so those made up for this the other mornings. But damn our 2/5 for a 4.1/5 YELP spot was super disappointing.

That's good because it was colder than a witch's hoo-ha outside. After spending a lot of time al fresco at Randyland, I think I was breathing icicles by the time I saw this corner cafe, one of a local chain named for what Pittsburgh residents call themselves. It was a welcome sight because I needed something to warm myself before my final walk to the parking garage. Housed in a vintage brick building, it was a cavernous space with tall ceilings and fortunately open tables. I ordered the $4.50 Large 20-oz Cafe au Lait because I needed the extra fuel to get me through the frosty weather (Photo 9). They have Yinz merch for sale and the last of their baked goods. Oh well, I didn't need the extra calories anyway. We had a party of 11 and CM didnt miss a beat of course there were a few hiccups along the way but it was worth it! Cafe Momentum-Pittsburgh is located in the heart of downtown. The staff was outstanding and I truly love the mission of CM. We had multiple people waiting on us because of the party size! I ordered a Jamaican ginger beer ($5), the special of the evening a ribeye (medium well of course)with mushroom risotto and grilled asparagus($72). AND an extra side of their homemade biscuits! Ok sooo everything took a minute to come out but it was worth it! I had to send my steak back because it wasnt cooked enough but it was perfect when it returned! It was so much food. I only ate half of my 14-16oz steak and bought the rest BACK TO GA yall and it was even better! The sides were great and nicely seasoned! I am making it my mission to visit EVERY Cafe Momentum! Thanks for an outstanding Ali and the team!! SYOY!

We enjoyed our appetizers: shrimp, French fries and wedge salad. The shrimp with potatoes and chorizo in a slightly spicy sauce was my favorite. For mains we got ravioli, steak, gnocchi and fried chicken. All were very good. The steak was cooked perfectly. The gnocchi were paired with a lamb bolognese--very rich! The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, perfectly done. And we finished with three desserts--sticky toffee pudding, apple crisp and chocolate tort. We will be back!
