I asked her if I could have a few minutes and ordered my drink. Literally 2 minutes later she was back. Her facial expression was almost as I was wasting her time. I am waiting for my car that is in service so I figured this would be a great place for lunch and wait. I finally ordered an appetizer of the Tex Mex Nachos on her recommendation. I was going to do the pretzel bites and cheese, however she was honest and said it was a very small order. A few minutes after the nacho order went in she was back at my table asking what I wanted for lunch. 1. I haven't even started on my appetizer or received it. 2. Being a pushy waitress in a dead restaurant not real smart. 3. Personality is everything, as a member of the front of the house represent yourself on how you would like to be treated. Granted people do have bad days, but in the hospitality business you have to bite the bullet sometimes. Pictures will be attached the nachos were extremely delicious. However, the manager had to go on the line to get the slackers in the kitchen to speed up. So after all this I ended up ordering the fish and chips. This time I call around maybe 11:15pm, while in my car on the way there, it states on the phone "press 1 to place an order". I press 1. It goes to a girl that tells me that they cannot take to go orders over the phone, which I had never heard of before. She told me that I had too some customer service number but that they can take my order if I arrive before 11:45pm. I was so confused. Never have I heard of a Hooters not being able to take my order over the phone, as that's how I usually place it when I'm on my way to one. I tried again. "Press 1 to place an order". Okay, maybe it routed it to somewhere else besides the store? I press 1. A different girl picks up, I get told the same by her, can't place order over the phone but if I arrive before 11:45pm they can take my order when I arrive, then gets a manager which was weird, she repeats the same information. I say okay it looks like I'll be there five till so I'll just order when get there, thanks, what was your name? They hang up. I arrive. I wait and wait. A girl greets me and asks my name. I say my name and I'm trying to place an order. She says let me get the manager then walks off. Extremely embarrassing. I'm waiting again. The manager shows up and asks what I'm trying to get because they're closing. I immediately reiterate that I was told that my order could be taken by multiple people if I arrived before 11:45pm. They said it's past that and I agreed stating I was left waiting for awhile. They took my order and I got it and left. Such an awkward visit. Still a three star Hooters. read more

Absolutely terrible food. We ordered fried pickles and they served hamburger dill pickles breaded which were salty and stale, we sent back. For my meal, I ordered combo plate of wings that included boneless and shrimp. It was first served with sauce poured all over and looked disgusting. I sent back and asked if they could shake the wings in the sauce. They then served the same plate with more sauce doused all over, saturating the plate making it look like slop. The Manager came to table with plate and said that's how they serve things and said he had 2 new cooks in training. I showed him menu and asked why it didn't look at all the same, he could not provide an answer or a solution so we just decided to close out our tab and go elsewhere. I've been coming to this Hooters off and on for the last 15 yrs. Unfortunately, I've seen it's steady decline especially after competitor restaurants opened in the area. Last night will probably be my last though. I came and placed a togo order of wings. The wings weren't even tossed all the way in the sauce or fully breaded. After the bartender opened the box I asked for extra sauce to do it myself, I was not about to send it back as they mentioned the cooks were mad they were still having to cook. It was an hour before closing and still had people coming in. Then I had asked for all drums and found out when I went to eat them they had put drums on top and hidden flats underneath. All together a bad experience just because the cooks were in a bad mood they had to do their job. Positive note: The bartender was extremely polite and helpful when I asked for extra sauces etc.. I had the fried pickles and Baja shrimp tacos. The fried pickles came out hot and salty. It was all right. However, the shrimp tacos took like 45 min to come out while it wasn't busy. When I went in, there was a few guys on the bar drinking who weren't ordering foods. Then there was one table already occupied, two most. So it wasn't exactly busy at all. The shrimp tacos: seasoned and grilled then loaded with cabbage, pico de gallo and a special sauce and wrapped in flour tortillas. $10.79. The special sauce got a kick to it. Being from Spartanburg, I have never actually had food from a Hooters until I was invited to dinner at the Greenville restaurant. Hooters is more known for their wings and their "hot" female waitresses walking around in orange shorts. Most people would be going to Hooters for the chicks; I honestly go more for the food. And it surprisingly isn't bad for such a popular chain. Our waitress was nice, but going on a Friday night I got relatively slow service. My appitizer came around when my entree came. I had 10 "Daytona Beach-style" wings (breaded) and curly fries. Surprisingly very tasty! The wings however were HOT! Hot as in the temperature of the wings. No matter how hungry you are, please let 'em cool down before you eat. And the wings are drenched in sauce, so get plenty of napkins. The curly fries were good, but they cooled down quite quick. Overall, the food is way better than what I've had at chains like Buffalo Wild Wings; which is small portions of food at a high price. During my first trip, I heard the girls do their loud "birthday star" anthem. It was nice to watch them get all energetic. ;) All in all, Hooters in Greenville is good, but you might want to go on more days where there's specials going on (like on "Wingsday"). read more

I had not been to this Hooters Location in a few years. I was told it was renovated a couple of years ago, and looks 100% better than it did during my last visit. This building was originally a bank, so the exterior has some very different looking windows than any other Hooters. Inside is the bank vault, complete with a dining area . I ordered my usual Hooters sandwich, the Buffalo Chicken. Food prep time was quick and my deal was served quickly. Nice meaty chicken breast seasoned well. What brings the rating to three stars was the Hooters Girls and my pet peeve - not interacting with the customers. My Hooters Girl had a little small talk with me when I would ask her questions, like "how long have you worked here?" and "are you from this area?" (It's supposed to work the opposite way - they are supposed to be the ones showing interest in the customers and asking them questions!) It took 15 minutes for me to put my order in. secondly the chicken came out not tossed in the sauce which on the menu it says tossed in your favorite sauce. I paid about $8 for the Lots of Tots and would have done better getting tots from Sonic for much cheaper, and better tasting. The Taco Salad was $12 and looked and tasted like it came out of a bag bought from the supermarket. The taste was bland and unappealing. Not fresh at all and again, overpriced. After taking our final last night, a classmate and myself went to celebrate over wings and beer at the local Hooters. We were seated, then greeted by our server Kayla very politely. She took our drink orders and laughed at our lame jokes which is always nice. She promptly returned with our drinks and we placed an order for nachos. The experience was off to a very promising start, until the manager of the night started interrupting her while she was trying to do her job. There were 3 separate occasions where Kayla came over to either ask if we wanted a refill, take our entrée order, or give us to go boxes, where the manager yelled across the restaurant quite publicly, which is a sign of bad management skills, at Kayla to leave our table alone. The last occurrence was around 11 pm where there were only 4 other parties in the place. Still seeing the good service we didn't allow the conduct of the management affect the tip, however this is a prime example of how bad management can ruin a good employee and a company's reputation. read more

So today is my first time ordering from hooters here on Laurens in Greenville South Carolina I ordered through a third-party site which is called GrubHub arrive pretty quickly and I was praying that it was made/cooked correctly due to the fact that he came literally within 20 minutes like 20 to 30 minutes but overall the food was good and look nothing like the pictures actually got less than what the picture looks like on the GrubHub site ..like the onion rings for example on the photo it was a bundle of stringed onion rings with the dipping sauce .. I received 5. Large onion rings with dipping sauce. The shrimp had no guacamole at all small amount of pico de gallo and coleslaw with a large scoop of sour cream and only three tortilla chips.. the salad was basic and looked like it been in the freezer forever. The taste of the food was good but for 22$ it wasn't worth it. There are plenty of other great places here on Greenville,Sc with wayyy better food quality and portion wise don't waste your money and time. Don't give a tip till you check your food.. We went out today for our 13 year olds birthday and was completely disrespected! We asked for some extra seasoning for our fries and the waitress said she couldn't give us anymore because she had just given us some. When we questioned the waitress ass to not being able to get more seasoning, we asked to speak to a manager. The waitress walked off crying to find the manager. Several minutes later the manager (Zach) walked to the doorway of the "vault", where we were sitting; and yelled as us DEMANDING that we leave. When I told the manager he could calm himself down and talk to us in a respectful way, he proceeded to tell us that 4 staff members told him we were SCREAMING and CURSING at the waitress. It's funny that these accusations were made when we were in our own little room and she was the only one around us. When the waitress came back in as we were leaving, I explained to her what he said and she told us that those words NEVER came out my mouth. Needless to say, our 13 year olds birthday dinner has been ruined and he had to leave hungry. Top 3 Hooters I've been to! Coming from CA, the menu was a little different and had some good, interesting options. I appreciate that the beer menu is actually printed, which is easier to read that staring at the taps. Received Food Poisoning twice and friends have also received food poisoning when visiting without me. All in all, I recommend everyone to avoid this location for their own safety.
