All of the staff members give you their full attention when you are in their chair. I have recommended this place to all of my friends. While the haircut costs more than a typical one, it's worth every penny. I've never experienced a bad haircut from them which is a common thing that occurs in Bloomington if you go to cheaper places. Covid Note- they have hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes all around the shop. The staff and all guests were wearing masks. Strict cleaning protocols were clearly in place. I am not afraid to come back here for my next cut during this pandemic.

His professionalism, skill, and friendly vibe kept us coming back. But recently, we noticed he was no longer on the lineup, and our experience just hasn't been the same since. After a little searching, we were lucky enough to find his business card and reach out; turns out, Ernesto has moved to The Golden Shear! After visiting his new place at The Golden Shear, I am happy to say that he's still doing fantastic work over there! While we appreciated Sport Clips in the past, it's just not the same without Ernesto, and unfortunately that shows in the quality of cuts we've gotten since. If you were a fan of Ernesto's work (or are just looking for a great new barber), I highly recommend reaching out to Ernesto directly at 812-320-1587 and booking with him at The Golden Shear. The best part? You can now schedule appointments with him ahead of time, instead of waiting through the unpredictable 2+ hour day-of lineup like we had to at Sport Clips. It's way more convenient, and you'll still get the same great quality (if not better) in a new, relaxed setting. Sport Clips lost one of their best. We're sticking with Ernesto at his new place The Golden Shear!

(I have been getting my hair cut by my partner at home for 25 years, so I was a bit nervous and Aaron made me feel comfortable.) Marny is awesome. Great personality, super easy to talk to. She and Aaron are a good team. Marny listened to what I wanted, looked at the photos I brought of different hair cuts and gave me exactly what I wanted. Today on the other hand, was anything but that. As soon as I sit in the chair I notice he's pissed and not in the mood. He cuts my hair per usual but is moody and inpatient the entire time. When cutting my sides, he asks me if I want it shorter and i tell him yes just a tad. He proceeds to look to the side and sigh heavily, clearly giving off that he was annoyed. He goes on to rush it and completely ruin the evenness and even cuts the top when I didn't ask for it to be cut. The final product was nothing what I asked for and I'd like to say that I don't expect my barber to be happy all the time, but this was different. IF YOU'RE NOT IN THE MOOD TO GIVE A HAIRCUT AND DO YOUR JOB...THEN GO HOME. Not to mention, the entire haircut took only 12 minutes just to give you the perspective. He was clearly having a bad day but I can't pity him because whether you like it or not, it's your job to come in and cut hair, not to f**k around and send people off with awful haircuts. If you weren't in the mood today, then don't come to work, as simple as that. Don't come here.
