There was supposed to be a special event (fundraiser?) the following FR...I never heard anything about the cause although I stopped in. There were hundreds of dancing and drinking fetuses and the noise level was deafening. Maybe 30 years ago...

We had the lunch special for an app (two pork sliders and fries). Was appropriate for an app, not enough for lunch. We also tried the wings which were ok. For lunch, we shared the three meat combo - two ribs and one brisket. Also shared a burger and a corned beef sandwich. The corned beef was not on the menu and tasted the best - maybe it was because it was just made? For sides: we tried the brisket chili (little spicy), slaw (little vinegary), fries and potato salad (best of the bunch, had nice seasoning and some onions mixed in). Service was great, bbq was just ok.

They also had deals depending on how many tou got. They had every type of pumpkin you could think of in every shape, color and size. Not that I could take one on the flight home, but I did get a mini yellow one - I couldn't resist. They also had variety of produce like apples and Michigan blueberries and baked goods and homemade items like soaps and candles. Definitely worth the stop if you're going by.

Green Acres Farm Market may be worth the stop, if you purchase other items than what I did!…read more Cashier was very nice, friendly, and for a farm market, they have an extensive collection of items! If you are staying in the area, it is possible to purchase several full meals of groceries here. But, nearly everything I purchased was not good. The jams/jellies? Why are they not Michigan made? I bought 2-3, 1 leaked on the car ride back home, the other did not have good texture or flavor at all, which is disappointing, as it is Raspberry Rhubarb. The honey was the worst local honey I've ever purchased anywhere. Maybe because it was my first time trying creamed honey? The apples were overpriced, but I needed them. Taste and quality was decent. We wanted to purchase a small wooden windmill, but the price was ludicrous, I think it was $300! Locally, maybe this is the place to go for plants. Maybe it's the place to go for produce. I know it's not the place to go for anything in a jar. I'd rather drive to Holland for the Farmers Market or to Harvest Health Foods. If I'm in the area again, I'd give the another try, to test a bigger array of their items!
