Wanted this to be good. Visited last summer 5 or 6 times and it was ok. Nice. Pretty good service. New spot last year. This year, a disaster. Just a "s$&@ show"! Filthy tables everywhere. Disgruntled customers everywhere. People waiting to be served, fed, seated, and for their bills. It's not like there was a line up out the door. Just really bad service staff. It took almost 3 hours for simple meals, beer and wine. It was laughable. Won't be back. Why? Just to be annoyed? People go out to eat to be served and eat good food. Waited (endlessly) for this place to open. Turns out it was bargain night for beer and maybe that made a difference. Hit "maybe"! Welcome: I guess if limited to "sit anywhere" (period!) is acceptable, minimal. Service: Not especially fast but tolerable. Food: While I suspect there had been some clam in the clam chowder, it must have just passed through; can't say the same for the potato (if that was what it was) and while I have never had a reuben before, one mistake I won't make again. I order a 16oz beer draft. I received it in a 12 oz glass. When I discussed this with the manager she blame it on the beer company. What a poor excuse. They know what they are doing. My husband and I came in for opening day. This place is beautiful and I am so happy they are finally opened! It is super warm and inviting! It has luxe finishes and provides a cozy atmosphere. The service was excellent! The food is the best in town! It is upscale bar food. For lunch, I had buffalo wings and a small Caesar salad. The wings were nicely cooked and crispy. I wish the wings were saucy. The Caesar salad had great bacon flavor and had a lot of Parmesan. However, the salad was over dressed and soggy. The coffee I had to drink was tasty. My husband had the Cuban sandwich and chowder. The Cuban had great ratio of meat and spice, but needed acid. The chowder was solid. It is definitely the nicest and best food in town! Last night my girlfriends and I went out for a nice casual dinner as we are staying at a friends cottage. We reviewed the menu which looked great, but to find the service was slow, it only looked like 2 servers working, maybe 3. Our drink orders were basic and our meals we apps, a salad and one main course. Our app was whipped feta with a loaf of bread that was 4 pieces. After each one of us dished out some feta onto our plates, our last friend scooped up a long brown hair. Gross!! We informed the server who apologized, but at the end on our bills still charged us, as we had to say we weren't paying for it. The Korean cauliflower tacos looked and tasted great and the avocado trout salad was good with lots of trout pieces. The vegetable teriyaki bowl looked good, but tasted mushy, soggy and the noodles were fat blobs of "dough" like taste, not warm/ hot to taste either. The description in the menu said sweet and spicy, but was told not too spicy at all. actually there was no flavour of sweet or spicy!!! Overall, for the lack of service - yes, it was a Saturday night around 5:30pm which wasn't busy when we got there, it did get busier, but the service should have been better, especially for the price. read more

DECIDEDLY DISAPPOINTING! Several visits at various times of day and evening permits a small group of us to sincerely state that you should GO ELSEWHERE. The restaurant clearly has had a significant financial investment, but one of the two owners, Veronica, is profoundly unpolished and utterly uninvested in customer relations. Three of the times when we entered she was at the counter by the door, yet failed to acknowledge us...not a hello, not even a smile! Our group found her not only unwelcoming upon entry, but when we attempted to engage her in a chat tableside on two occasions, she was equally unreceptive, uninterested, even unfriendly. We have tried 8 entrée items and a selection of finger food; all but 2 were mediocre. Unmoist, tasteless fish dishes, bland fries, a bisque devoid of cream. Unique burger unresembling menu pic was nonetheless tasty. Onion rings were excellent in the daytime, but were oddly the exact opposite when we had a selection of late evening nibbles that included dry, unadorned wings. Décor is merely one facet of a business; it cannot build or sustain a reputation when a professionally welcoming human element is not present, brought to fruition by quality food that is deliciously prepared. The combination of these three components is crucial to success in the dining industry. This establishment doesn't have a phone, ensuring that older people, who aren't tech savvy, cannot make inquiries or reservations. For all other patrons, there isn't any wifi. To summarize: IMMENSELY UNENJOYABLE dining experiences since restaurant opened early this year. Unacceptable value for cost: two couples, five visits, over $1200 spent on wine, beer and food; however, our hopes of a sincere welcome followed by pleasurable dining were repeatedly dashed, save for upbeat, friendly servers. Extremely clean. Decent ambience. Food quality and consistency underwhelming. NO PHONE. NO WIFI. Customer satisfaction equals customer loyalty and never fails to guarantee referrals, but an insincere, disinterested owner makes a peculiar statement of another kind. It's astounding that such a substantial investment ends with the physical establishment and the décor, and it's equally absurd that the owner is so palpably standoffish and inhospitable! read more

We went on a Sunday and I had the Pickeral and fries. Fish was small and dry. Fries were tasteless. My husband had the chicken sandwich and clam chowder. It was ok. The second time we went we both had the Pastrami sandwich. Meat was thick with rind still on and fatty Would have been better shaved. No sourkrout (spell). Lovely restaurant. read more

Home Run. Ive been coming up to this beautiful little town since ive been a kid for hockey tournaments and cottage weekends. This is just what this town needs. From the time you walk in it just feels different. The hostess and owner Veronica makes you feel welcome and very accommodating getting you seated to the waitresses who are getting you going with drinks and food menus. Athough very busy we got our food in a timely manner and the presentation and food was great. We also got to meet Veronicas business partner Taylor (chef) who took time and talked to us about future plans about the restaurant.
