I went through this credit…read moreunion for a student loan, which is not from this credit union, but from Student Choice Loans. They use this credit union to approve or deny loans. Dylan is the Student Loan officer. I was not approved for the loan until I came down there at the Front street location to talk to Dylan, because of my credit not being stellar because I was incarcerated. After explaining things to Dylan, including my criminal record, he said that he would approve the loan if I provide him with my last two pay stubs for work and a letter from my service manager stating that I have a job to return to if I don't make it all the way through school. So I completed this. I started school at Legacy Aviation on January 06, 2025. After being in school for approximately two months, Legacy discovered that they never received the money. So the CEO, Peter Lane, talked to Dylan. He stated that I needed to find a job in order to approve the loan! So I'm going to school full-time, 8 hours of the day and I am required to work??? In what world is one required to work, WHILE IN SCHOOL, to get a STUDENT LOAN APPROVED!!! Long story short, I could not meet this requirement in time and had to walk away from school towards the end of March! Dylan was focused very much on my background, and it is my heartfelt opinion that Dylan added this stipulation as a means for further punishment for my background! He is a perfect example of many businesses in my area that refuse to help out people that are IMPROVING their lives and becoming much better members of society!

It's my freaking money not theirs. Sounds like TBA has a hatred for innocent people being killed. If you deal with this company and you have any friends family or relatives in the Ukraine TBA does not like Ukraine. I will be soon taking every dime of my money out of the bank and never dealing with a bank again

Huntington Bank in Traverse City provides substandard investment services as compared to firms such…read moreas Merrill Lynch. Consider: a Huntington senior financial advisor recommended investing $300k in a five-year annuity. The annuity's description created the expectation for an 8% return. It delivered 1.7%. (The S&P 500 delivered 14% during the same five-year period.) Put another way, it yielded $26k, which was $75k less than it should have. It was bad enough that Huntington recommended a loser when most investments were winners. Worse, the senior financial advisor subsequently established that he was not obliged to warn me the annuity was underperforming so badly that it would never recover. He said I was responsible for determining that. I'm a layman. During the first three years, I figured the annuity might get back on track; I didn't have the expertise to know better. (After that, the withdrawal penalty would have changed the annuity from a poor performer to a money-loser.) He's the professional: by the third year, he should have warned me the annuity had no chance of coming anywhere near its projected target. The bottom line: Huntington's financial advisors are just there to sell products. They don't track an investment's yearly results. Or if they do, but don't feel obliged to warn investors of the need to change course and suggest ways to make up for lost ground.

Not only do they remember me when I come in, but they have kindly helped me out in a financially binding situation. I will never bank anywhere else! I highly recommend at least this branch.

I closed one bank and got my money in the form of two bank checks. The checks were over thousand dollars. I took those checks over to the 5/3 bank to get deposited into savings/checking account. A man name Dumber or Dummar or something like that came over to me and took me into his office. He set up everything for me to open saving and checking account. He took my checks of over thousand dollars over to one of the teller to put it into my new account that was just opened. He then came back to the office and gave me a receipt for only one of the check and not the other. I kept saying he never gave me a receipt for my other check and told him the amount. This crook repeated the amount and agreed he took two checks from me. Even though he agreed he took two checks from me and only brought one receipt for the one check, he gave me a blank look and pretended not to know what I was talking about. I left the bank without other receipt. That crook took my other check and not even gave it back to me! I could not even call the cops on this bank due to freaking cops in Traverse City being so corrupt! Besides, it would be my word against the bank's. But God punished that bank by closing it down! That bank was even located next to a church! I'm glad that it closed down! The 5/3 bank at this west front street location is made of bunch of thugs too!
