Absolutely horrible service. I worked with Lian Alston for my cousins wedding in Cancun. I followed all directions specifically and gave all of my flight info and my wife's flight info ahead of time. Upon arrival, I was transported via AmStar with no problem. I was with a lot of the wedding invitees. My wife, however, was arriving the next day. Honeymoons, Inc. advised me that I should still pay for her in the room for the multiple day package because it would be cheaper, even though she would only be there for two days. That was annoying, but I followed directions. My wife landed in Cancun and was not on the AmStar list. They had her down as already using their transportation with me the day before, since we were married. This confusion was not properly communicated by Honeymoons, Inc. and so my wife was stuck at the airport for quite some time. The AmStar officials were extremely rude to her, cussed in Spanish, told her not to move, took her passport, and really freaked her out. Her vacation was ruined. All we got was a sorry for this. Upon leaving, several guests, including me and my wife, were denied AmStar passage and were forced to take an expensive taxi. I got back and complained to Steve and Lian. They asked me for confirmations of flight emails (as if they didn't believe me), I clearly showed it to them, and then their only resolve was a pointless $200 "voucher" that has a minimum flight + 3 night stay requirement within 10 months of my receipt of the voucher. It was an awful mess. The part I regret the most was that the bride's dad was super worked up, along with several guests. If you book with them, be very afraid of communication with scheduling rides and weekend travel. They don't do much to help you after the problems! read more

If there were a way to rate this company four and a half Stars, I would. They are very thorough, very concerned with your receiving exactly what you want, and very accessible if you have any questions. Steve Simmons handle our account personally, and this is the third time out of three years that we have used their services. The only slight glitch this time was that somehow or another the fact that it was a combination anniversary and birthday trip got lost in the translation. we did not receive any perks for my birthday, but it was very easy to deal with due to the fact that the resort was excellent! We always got a price that made us very happy, and honeymoons Inc will always follow up with you. If you have a problem, you just need to call or email and they will address it ASAP. Highly recommended! We will be using them again next year. read more

My experience with Kimberly was wonderful! She was always very responsive, and answered all of my questions thoroughly. She also went above and beyond when I came to our flight travels. Due to COVID my airline was not allowing me to speak to a representative due to high call volumes. My trip was approaching and I was getting anxious because the airline made an unexpected change that would cause me to miss my connecting flight. However, Kimberly went to bat for me and was able to get my flight corrected after staying on the phone with them for hours! Linda Dancer and her team at Honeymoons, Inc. were amazing! We originally booked our honeymoon and wedding on our own and thought "Why would we need a travel agent, it's not that hard to book a resort online." Wow, was I wrong! I honestly can say that if you even remotely think the same as me, don't do it! Call Linda and her team NOW! They always tell you "Travel Agents" don't charge you anything, its a free service. Well, that is correct - except what you may not realize is that they can SAVE money, time and stress in ways you've never imagined! I can 100% state that our honeymoon and wedding would have not happened without having Linda as our travel agent. Not only did she have amazing response time, she also had so much knowledge and most importantly her connections! In this Covid-19 world we now live in, we didn't think our wedding would take place with it being at a different resort than where we were staying especially when travel outside resorts was prohibited at the time. Linda coordinated between the two General Mangers (on her own, without being asked), and made it happen. When we arrived we were treated like royalty and there were several surprises that she orchestrated that we didn't expect and were shocked. We were able to have the wedding and honeymoon we envisioned and couldn't be happier! I found Honeymoons Inc through a Google search. At first I was nervous about booking it online instead of going to a travel agency office, but they are based in Georgia, so I felt a lot better about it after reading their good reviews! Our travel agent was Lian Alston. We booked our trip to the Dominican Republic 6 months in advance for mine & my husband's honeymoon. It was a great value and there were no issues going forward. When we arrived to our destination, everything was already set and went very smoothly. Lian was also very easy to communicate with and responded to our questions promptly. We had an absolutely perfect honeymoon!!!! Based on the weather reports it said that it had an 80% chance of raining each day we were supposed to be there and we almost post-poned our trip. Well, we ended up going from Oct 10th- Oct 19th and the weather turned out beautifully and only ended up sprinkling once when we got there and one other night. Other then that it was in the high 80's and sunshine every day!!! Let me just say that the staff here made us feel like family that by the end of our trip both my husband and eye literally had tears in our eyes as we were leaving the resort. Angelica, our concierge was the best!!! She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. When we got there I let her know of my food restrictions and that I could not have dairy and she made sure that our refrigerator was stocked with coconut milk/cream daily. Since it was our honeymoon she also sent up a special dessert and bottle of wine in celebration. That was along with the bottle of champagne waiting for us when we first arrived and another bottle for our romantic breakfast. It was so easy to set up reservations and spa services through her. Thank you Angelica, we appreciate you so much!!! Along with our concierge, the entertainment staff were as friendly as can be. Horacio was a great snorkel guide as well as part of the late night entertainment staff. Rene and Guadalupe took us on a wonderful bike ride to the lagoon in Akumel. Later that day they gave a great water aerobics workout. Yoga on the beach was fantastic! Played bingo and did another round of water aerobics with Pappi Hamlet, who has so much energy and super fun to be around! Karen lead a super fun pool/water bike class and also a fun round of bingo. Oh, and let's not forget Mexican Hot Chocolate and Marcelo!! The night shows were so much fun and something we looked forward to each evening. Carlos at Himitsu was also very entertaining and has some amazing hibatchi skills! All in all, Secrets Akumal was paradise and at night the place just glowed. We can't wait to come back and visit you all!!! We miss being there so much!! Also,we ended up going on some fun exursions which included Chitchen Itzu, a Luxury snorkeling and sailing tour, Xlplor where we ziplined over the jungle, swam in an underground river and road 4 wheelers. Then we went out for a full day which included Tulum, visited a Mayan ranch which included jumping into a Cenote and traditional Mayan lunch, and a visit to Coba where we were able to climb the temple and see over the jungle. This has been the best trip I've ever taken. There was culture, excited, adventure and relaxation all rolled into one! Definitely a place I will be recommending to friends an family :) read more

We had a group of 6 couples that used Honeymoon Inc (Megan/Steve) to book a trip to Playa Mujeres in October 2015. We had one couple that had a disaster of a time with their airline tickets. Per Delta the travel agent reserved the seats but failed to transfer the funds to pay for them. We were flying on the weekend and were assured that the 800# provided to us for after hours customer service would help us if needed or if we had problems. THEY DID NOT! It took this couple over 7 hours of being on the phone constantly to finally book a flight & get to Mexico. Many voicemails & emails were sent to Honeymoon Inc over the weekend to advise them of the problem and at 9am on Monday not one person from Honeymoon Inc had called to see what happened or if they could be of assistance. After waiting till 11:30 that morning we finally called Honeymoon Inc for an explanation & to verify that this couple had a airline ticket home. Extremely poor customer service! Not to mention when we went to leave the resort the AMSTAR group that Honeymoon Inc uses for transportation had moved our departure time without letting anyone know in our group & they refused to provide us transportation to the airport & refused to pay us for the cab costs. All the way around Honeymoon Inc dropped the ball on our trip, from the agents inability to do her job correctly, to customer service, to using companies that do not act ethically. I caution any travelers from using this company. I will not ever again. read more

I was in charge of booking the honeymoon and finalized everything in January of 2015. Our honeymoon was not until the 20th of July and everything went smoothly. One day in May, we got an email stating that the dates had changed on the flight to earlier in the month BEFORE our wedding! I definitely freaked out a little bit and contacted Lian (agent) and explained everything. At first there was a miscommunication but ultimately they checked their records and resolved everything in a very timely manner. The level of professionalism was great throughout the whole ordeal and they genuinely cared that there was a huge issue. It is amazing to call a company like Honeymoons Inc and get the SAME PERSON that you talked to originally and they actually REMEMBER talking to you! The rates were definitely affordable and cheaper than anyone locally in my area. Definitely recommend to our friends and family! read more
