I work near to Petticoat Lane Market and if I want market quality clothes, I go there for market prices, not to Honeybee.
I went in there two weeks ago when browsing for holiday clothes. I tried on a nice pair of gladiator, simple sandals. £35. And they weren't even leather. I'm not a cheapskate, but the dearest ones in Next are £25 and they're leather! (Now, I'm not a cheap skate, I have a well paid job, but I pay for quality and for cheap tat, I expect to pay cheap tat prices).
On this same trip, I bought a top, asked what the exchange / refund policy was. THEY DON'T REFUND and only exchange within a week. I appreciate that the statutory is to only refund if faulty, but in the age of service, what kind of 'service' is this? I advised I was on holiday the next day for two weeks, so she said she'd write that on my receipt. She wrote 'two weeks to return', which I realised when I got home. I tried to return it today (because the quality was poor, and despite the fact I'm superslim the size was for less than a zero), but was told I had to return it by Monday. I tried to argue my point that I was on holiday on the Monday, but they didn't care. Well, in fact, she didn't quite understand that if I went on holiday the day after for two weeks, I wouldn't be in the UK two weeks later to return. Maths clearly wasn't this rude assistant's strong point, so if you fancy a bargain, I recommend confusing her.
If you want market quality clothes at market quality prices, but with the owner of the stall present, so they offer a service, go to a market.
If you want market quality clothes at inflated prices with rude dimwits, go to Honeybee. read more
