She showed us around and explained that the candles are all eco friendly, and that you can bring in your empty jars to get refilled! She makes jarred candles, but also decorative varieties like tea cup candles, "beach" lanterns, and candle holders. I got the English Garden jar candle, and it comes with a local Lewes shell on it, so pretty! The candle smells amazing and has a slow burn, which is great! We actually went in because my husband was curious. I almost didn't go in but I am so glad I did! Across the Way has lots of unique gifty items. I left with some cool things like a zipper pouch with a gnome on it, a tin that looks like a legit 1980s mixed tape and a Calico cat notepad. I also had fun looking at socks, books, cards, jewelry, candles and such. A lot of gift stores carry the same brands but I can tell that Across the Way has worked hard to differentiate their merchandise. Great stuff!
