Honesty in providing information. Information about the final cost was hidden and only revealed at the time of closing. The sales person failed to include the cost of dealer preparation, and agency fee in the original offer to purchase. These omissions magically appeared at closing and added about $3500 to the original cost. This dealership lacks integrity. read more

DO NOT GO THERE!! They made me wait for 21 days for a simple battery change. When I asked why the delay they said battery was back ordered from Vancouver. When I asked to show me the purchase order/invoice to see when the order was placed and when did Excel Honda receive it, they said its CONFIDENTIAL! Worst place to buy a Honda. Dodgy business......unethical behaviour and not trustworthy. They changed a part that did not need changing and we have proof for this as the vehicle was fully inspected just before being serviced by Excel Honda! - Their service manager is dishonest. This dealer has made every effort to remove its yelp listing or rename it to draw attention away from the overwhelming number of bad reviews and it has done it again. So I will post my 1 star rating again. Simple oil changes take 1.5 hours or more even on appointment. Everything is overpriced 15-20% vs other Honda dealers in Montreal. I witnessed front desk use scare tactics such "your warranty will be void if you don't perform plan A service". WORST OF ALL, every time I get service here, my phone number gets put on a telemarking list and will systematically get called to tell me that I should sell my car and get a new one. EVEN THOUGH I SPECIFICALLY ASK NOT TO BE CONTSCTED FOR MARKETING PURPISES. read more

They refused to pay me what they owed, instead they falsified contracts and other legal documents(I have copies of the original), they hide scratches on new car, and charge a ridiculous dealership fee with false promises among many unethical actions I have witness. We left our new car, bought from another dealer, for a routine service because Excel is closer to us. Returned to find the car severely damaged in a collision during a test drive and undriveable. Excel mechanic ruled not at fault by police, so Excel washed its hands of us, lending us a dirty loaner car for one day and telling us to get another loaner from our insurance while we repaired or replaced car. Their attitude was as bad as their lack of helpfulness: this accident wasn't their fault so they owed us no sympathy. Astonishing. Our original dealer, Longueuil Honda, however, was very helpful, finding us a replacement demo and selling the wreck, both at a decent prices. We found that which dealer you choose can be very important. Excel is a good one to avoid. read more

One word for my experience at this location, "HORRIBLE". 1) I submitted an online appointment to get checked an issue with my engine oil burning too fast. It turned out that there was a lawsuit filed against Honda for this issue, for 2008 Honda Accord Models. 2) I was called by a rep stating that I have other recalls on this car already such as the air bag and SRS and that they will check if I'm covered for extended warranty for the engine issue 3) When I arrived at the location I was told that my extended warranty expired on March 25, 2016/200,000km whichever came first (my car is now at 185,000 km) and I was not covered due to the time limitation. 4) I told her well I'm sure I had brought my car in for service back in 2016 or sometime before that, and I asked why this issue wasn't resolved back then. 5) She told me that my last appointment was in April 2016 and I had missed the free recall by a few days. I'm certain that I was purposely given a later appointment so that Honda will not be liable under the extended coverage period. 6) The service representative (Emeraude Castilloux) thought this whole situation was funny and smirked as she told me that they could not help me with my issue and that it would cost me several thousands if I wanted them to look into the issue. I had to politely ask her not to laugh 7) She said I should have got this issue checked back in April 2016 or March before my coverage expired 8) I recall Honda postponing my appointments for this issue due to missing parts, I wasn't sure why this was the case back when it happened. I now understand that it was in order to VOID the extended coverage period. 9) It is also funny to me now that the Honda dealership called me back in 2016 to sell me a brand new car instead of resolving the issue with my existing vehicle. 10) NEVER again will I buy a HONDA, especially not from this dealership. 11) This location seems to care more about selling than to follow through with customer service on the cars that they are selling. read more
