I really like this place-- it gives me such a great brunchy/breakfast vibe. You place your order at the counter in the front and then they will give you a little toy to mark/identify your order. Once you are seated, place the marker on your table and your food will slowly come to you. They have very limited seating indoors, but there are many tables outdoors. My friend and I ordered some of the more normal foods, such as toast with goat cheese, honey or toast with Nutella and jam, and crepe with banana and Nutella, so I'll describe some of the food that I found to be more interesting below. Their Portuguese tarts are actually not made using eggs (as I would have assumed)-- and has a very crunchy-flakey/croissantlike texture on the outside. It was delicious, but on the sweeter side. I also ordered their hot ginger + mint + lemon tea. This is what DREAMS are made of. I had a small cold at the time and this really helped my throat. It is super potent (I'm sure the ginger was blended into the drink) and burned so good. All in all, I had a great time. I liked the cute atmosphere and the staff here are really nice. read more

Such a cute, hidden gem! Had an eclectic charm to it. However, it was very tightly packed. I had a cappuccino and a galette with honey, cheese, and other fillings I can't think of off the top of my head currently. The cappuccino was superb and the galette was just alright. A little too sweet for me, but probably my fault for trying to step out of my usual comfort zone with food. The service is really nice as the people could speak English really well and very friendly. Adorable! This was one of my favorite places in Cologne. Very small cafe with a huge personality. The staff is very friendly and inviting, the coffee is delicious, and the food is out of this world! We came here for breakfast based on the excellent reviews, but I have to honestly say that my experience did not agree with the five-star ratings. The cafe is small and somewhat cramped, and the food was up underwhelming. We ordered a savory galette and the caramel crepe. Both were just ok, and the galette was a bit dry. The coffee was very good though. I recommend this place for maybe a light bite to eat and a good coffee, but it unfortunately was disappointing for a nice leisurely breakfast/brunch, and the five-star reviews, which seem somewhat inflated, led to unfulfilled expectations. If you're into small hipster type of cafes, or just want a good coffee, then this is the place for you. I personally will go elsewhere for a meal. read more

Cute and cozy place, there Is one table at the entrance and 4 inside (most are the size of a bedside table, each for about 2 people), a few seats at the bar and a few larger tables outside. The menu is minimal: sweet crepes or savory breads, coffee, tea and some smoothies. Upon ordering (at the bar) you get an animal figurine and that's your identifier for bringing the food and paying. The food arrives within 5-10 min of ordering. There is free wifi and it's dog friendly. The people who eat here are mostly young and local which gives the hip vibe. It's a small cafe with not a lot of space but the service and environment makes up for it. The people serving are friendly, smiling and great! Food is fresh and the fresh juice is the best. I took hummus with tomatoes and carrot cake which was a great breakfast. read more

This cafe was delightful. It is small and you might have trouble finding a seat at peak hours, but that is generally a good sign when considering where to eat. I enjoyed a goat cheese, walnut and honey galette (essentially a buckwheat crepe). Staff was very kind explaining the menu in English to someone who doesn't speak German. We stopped here for breakfast today and really enjoyed the experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful; the woman inside walked us through the menu and spoke to us in English. The coffee and the food were excellent as well! We both got iced coffees, a galette, and berry shortcakes. It was all reasonably priced and very filling. We'll definitely be back again! read more

This is a totally cute and well interiored coffee shop. I heard great things about it. So when I passed by I just wanted to grab a chai latte to go. It was a Sunday and took some time. When I received the hot drink I was surprised. The woman handed me 2 cups. One cup with the hot tea and one with warm milk. I asked her how I should handle that on the go but she said that they do not have larger cups. So it was nice meant but it did not help me. So I took the tea without the milk what made me bit disappointed. I think I will come back with a bit more time to sit down and to test the location again. read more

This was the cutest cafe tucked in a hole in the wall with very friendly service and delicious simple cheap food and great coffee. It was perfectly magical. They also have their special summer drinks like house made lemonades and iced coffees etc. A must go-to place in Cologne. read more

Loved this cozy little spot. Cappuccino's were great and their version of tartine's were also great. We ordered the avocado with sun dried tomatoes and the fried egg over avocado. I would go back for both plus I would like to try their banana bread. Be prepared, the shop is tiny without much seating and they share the bathroom with the brauhaus across the street. read more

I was introduced to this charming cafe during a walking tour of Cologne and I came back to spend more time! The espresso is great, service is friendly and prices are reasonable. However the star of this place is the decor. The ceiling is the wall of an old church and all of the furniture is reclaimed furniture / desks and more. A lovely place to stay and sip on a delicious beverage or maybe have a snack (didn't try the food). read more
