We were told it would take 5 weeks to get the items manufactured to the specifications of their measurements. Once items were received they would be installed within a week. We gave deposit and signed contact in November, project was not completed until April! Nora, the GC was unprofessional and couldn't even take proper measurements! SHE contracted out the work for installation. It was her job to make sure that HER crews knew the specifications laid out in the contract! Well, when they didn't properly install the shower panels we were told that HER crews would have to pay for the mistake NOT her! The vanity countertop was measured incorrectly and had to be removed and recut to fit, again these were Nora's measurements! We had rectangle sinks and the sink openings were cut oval, they were going to leave it that way! Absolutely not! They then had to recut the holes and it was a horrible job! I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! It was a nightmare from start to finish! I wouldn't allow them back in my house for the punch list, I was afraid they would make things worse!! Plus, every time they left there was a huge mess to clean up! They never cleaned up after themselves!

My Experience with Re-Bath of Wilmington, NC -- Excellent from Start to Finish…read more I recently had Re-Bath of Wilmington, NC convert my bathtub into a walk-in shower and install a new vanity. With the project completed and both inspections passed, I couldn't be happier with my experience. Consultation and scheduling My consultant listened carefully to my needs rather than pushing expensive upgrades. At 6'5", I needed a higher showerhead and taller glass doors. We also discussed seating, shelving, and materials. Several recommendations actually saved me money while giving me a bathroom better suited to my needs. I also appreciated the honesty about scheduling. When I signed in late August 2026, the consultant explained that Re-Bath's existing workload meant an early October installation. There were no unrealistic promises of starting immediately. Work began exactly when expected. I value a company that gives an honest timeline and follows through. Communication and workmanship Jennifer and Troy communicated well throughout the project. My installer, Terry, deserves particular recognition. He arrived on time every day, worked diligently, and was professional, courteous, and meticulous. Terry treated my home with tremendous respect. He protected the carpeting and floors, maintained a clean work area, and thoroughly cleaned up outside. With a particularly attentive HOA, I appreciated that care. He also went beyond the contract. Because my existing floor was slightly uneven, Terry voluntarily installed PVC shoe molding along the base of the new shower to conceal gaps and create a beautiful, custom-finished appearance. I hadn't requested it. He simply saw something that could be improved and took care of it. Handling an unexpected problem During installation, an exterior water shutoff valve proved unusable. Having recently moved into my home, I was still learning the property's plumbing layout. Terry and Troy worked to find a solution, ultimately locating another functioning shutoff hidden beneath the soil. What impressed me was that Terry continued making progress on other work while the problem was being addressed. The issue was resolved without delaying the project. That practical, cooperative approach meant a great deal to me. The finished bathroom Installation took approximately four and a half working days. Both the initial plumbing inspection and final inspection passed. The bathroom looks fabulous! The white shower walls feature a large vertical faux-tile pattern that looks remarkably realistic and gives the space a bright, contemporary appearance. The clear glass doors make it feel more open. The higher-end Moen fixtures were an especially pleasant surprise. I hadn't fully appreciated their quality and appearance until seeing them installed. The new white vanity and quartz countertop complement the shower beautifully. Everything I've tested functions properly. The shower drains exceptionally well without pooling, and the glass doors operate smoothly. Was it worth the investment? Re-Bath isn't necessarily the least expensive remodeling option, but I now better understand the value. I received an attractive, quality product along with end-to-end service. I didn't have to coordinate multiple subcontractors or manage competing schedules. Re-Bath handled the consultation, materials, installation, and inspections. The 36-month, 0% APR GreenSky financing available for my project also made the cost more manageable. Considering the workmanship, communication, dependable scheduling, product quality, and convenience, I feel the investment was justified. My thanks to the consultant, Jennifer, and Troy, and especially to Terry for his punctuality, care for my property, problem-solving, and exceptional attention to detail. Not only did Re-Bath come out and fix the problem (with a brand new part), he fixed some other small things at absolutely NO CHARGE! We paid nothing. My shower felt brand new AND the technician was awesome! So nice. He explained the problem and fixed everything quickly. He even played with our dogs for a few minutes on the way out!

I was hesitant though, because there were no reviews of the company. Turns out they recently relocated to Wilmington from Miami, where their team worked for a general contractor, so while they have tons of experience, they have few actual reviews. We chose Improvement 2050 because of their very detailed quote and the fact that they were so much less expensive than the other firms. Plus, they were extremely responsive, and I ask a lot of questions! My husband and I thought it was too good to be true. Working with them was a dream. Anyone who knows me will tell you I am a high maintenance customer. I expect a lot! I managed the entire project remotely and they were exceptional at keeping me in the loop, sending me videos and pictures of their work on a daily basis. I dealt primarily with Joseth Garcia. I will vouch for the fact that he and his team are respectful, prompt, neat, and skilled. They exceeded my expectations (which is a hard thing to do). I could go on and on, but bottom line, our project was delivered on time, on budget, and looks amazing. They really bent over backwards to do whatever they could to make me happy, including solving some pretty significant issues along the way. We will be hiring Improvement 2050 again to complete any work that comes up in Wilmington. If you are considering them, I highly recommend you give them a chance. You will be glad you did.
