They promise you free checking accounts with $100 as a promotional offer. But they rip you off with charges if you try to leave. I'm upset, but I also don't know whether to laugh or feel sorry for the guy. I'm not sure what kind of customer service he can hope to give without even that much authority. At my other bank, the customer service reps on the phone seem to have more authority than he does. People, PLEASE don't believe that your checking account is free. Remember they don't make profits by reinvesting your money, they make it by gouging you with 'gotcha!' type fees!
