This is a super cute little store with surprisingly reasonable (for a tourist town) prices. From…read morehip sundresses and scarves, to girly monogrammed items, to Lilly Pulitzer desk accessories, they have a great selection of gifts for women. In my opinion, the black and white with pink monogram stuff is a bit tired, so I wasn't head over heels in love with the store - hence only 4 stars. But I'd definitely recommend stopping in on a day of shopping in Wolfeboro.

What caught my eye was the more "dressy" items that you normally don't see in a resort town shop mixed in with the more casual and "beach" clothing. Still an aesthetically pleasing place to browse, and they have a select quantity of beautiful clothing, shoes, and accessories. So many lovely, quality items! This year I bought two ample-sized shawl/wrap/scarves (Daisy big wrap) for when it eventually gets cold (it was in the 80s the day I bought them, but I know winter is a-comin'). They are incredibly soft, and come in the most gorgeous colors (I bought one in a deep plum color, and another in a rich teal. I hate winter, but I will be prepared to keep warm in style. The wraps were just $24, and I already know I'll be getting many compliments when I wear these. I also bought a light, airy poncho that can be worn several ways. I bought one here last year--in indigo--and I wear it over solid-colored basics. I never fail to get compliments on it (and it adds just the right amount of light warmth and coverage, as well as a pop of color--sorry, I normally stay away from using overplayed terms like that, but it fits). It's the Van Klee poncho, just $22, and I got one in fuschia. I fell in lust with some of their fabulous jewelry but had to get back to my laundry. I think I'll be back before heading home on the weekend. As noted in my previous review, the ladies working in the shop were friendly and helpful, but not right on top of me as I shopped (thank you, thank you). This is my favorite shop in York.

I have very fair skin and lots of freckles so the sun and tanning beds are not kind to my skin. My…read morefirst experiences in spray tanning were not great, but then a few years ago, I decided to give it another shot and was very happy with the results. The only problem was that I had to drive to Concord or further to find spray tanning, so again I stopped. Recently, I decided to check to see if there were local businesses that offer spray tanning, and I was happy to discover a couple right in Plymouth. I decided to go with Stella for two reasons. #1 - Their website showed that they have a professionally trained person, Kristen Gilmore, dedicated to their spray tanning service. And #2 - when I called and spoke with Kristen, she was able to easily answer all of my questions and was familiar with how to work with my freckles and skin tone. I am so happy that I went with Stella Hair Boutique. Kristen was super friendly, but also very professional. When I had to strip down for her to apply the tanning solution, her manner and positivity removed any awkwardness or embarrassment on my part. I will definitely be going back and I highly recommend Kristen at Stella Hair Boutique for all your spray tanning needs.

The entire staff at Alaina Marie is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and sophisticated. The sheer genius that is the Bait Bag comes straight from a South Portland local. It is so satisfying to know that every time I purchase I am supporting my local economy and artists. The bags themselves are already so reasonably priced, and every time I visit they seem to have some type of sale happening, yesterday it was 50% off a certain collection. While I skipped past my usual purchase of clutches and went straight for a tote, they did not have what I wanted in store and then my mind was blown when I was informed I could customize my tote (in fact everything they make can be) and it was only $10 more than the price of their standard tote. Quinn who helped me literally answered 25 question. Could I pick the mesh inside? Could I change the clasp? Could I add pickets? Could I have black handles? You name it I asked it and literally she was so friendly the entire time!!! Now in one to two weeks time I will have my perfect bag and I cannot wait!!! Thank you Alaina Marie and staff for an awesome store, service and completing my outfits perfectly!
