We have asked for multiple repairs and when requested "it's not our problem" we rent from these slum lords both John and his daughter are lazy when they send someone in to do "repairs" they raise the rent on us my outdoor ramp is a hazard i have a tree growing through my floor half the ventilation doesn't work the house is falling apart no matter how hard we work the black mould comes back the next day, there are exposed wires and cords that we have no idea what they go to, we called someone in for an emergency repair and they still didn't pay them, we pay $1000 in rent and John still wanted to raise it another $500 for more repairs I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone they don't deserve more than a quarter of a star let alone half. On 12/8/23 we made a trip to the HomePro office to meet with John face-to-face. At this time, we expressed concerns regarding previous pool installs with other companies and that it made us a bit "gun shy". We were assured that it would not be our experience. A contract was drawn up and negotiated and signed. At that time, we put down 50% of the total. Pool was delivered, HOURS later than expected and with no communication. Again, check was written for the next installment. On 4/17/24, received a phone call for next installment. Per contract, that check would be written when crew and equipment were onsite. Neither were the case. During the conversation with John and Keenan, we were told that the crew would be onsite FIRST thing in the morning for a full day install. 4/18/24 was pool set day. We had everything in place and ready. Electrician and crane with operator were onsite, and the water truck was on standby. Crew arrived around 11:00am, with no communication, and left before 5pm. Parts were missing and had to be overnighted. Concrete was scheduled for Monday, had to be rescheduled. Crew stated they would be back on 4/22 to finish. Received phone call on 4/22, around 9am, that installers would not be back onsite. Electrician and water truck had both been set up for that day. 4/23 Marvin and one guy showed up to finish. Arrived around 11am. Marvin called Brandon early evening and stated that he was done and needed a check. We stated that we would not be sending a check until we heard from John. Don then called to try to "fix" the situation. Kept saying "per the contract". John called. He just wanted us to be happy that in 2 days we had a pool. The lack of professionalism, the manner in which we were spoken to and how we have been treated, as the customer, is appalling. Our pool is almost 2 inches unlevel, has not been backfilled. Marvin's suggestion is to tile around the edge. This is unacceptable. John is aware and has yet to reach out to provide a solution. read more

Unfortunately I can not recommend Home Pro based upon their lack of customer concern, inability to communicate, and failure to follow through on their commitments. Our initial conversations and planning appointments went fairly well and as scheduled. That type of experience stopped as soon as they received our second installment payment. Delays with no notification or project updates, excuses for changes in charges, and waiting months for the project to be completed after final payment was made led to confusion and frustration. Additionally, our pool had several cosmetic defects and our pool plumbing had a leak only a few months after install - Home Pro has failed to send anyone out to investigate. Since our relationship with Home Pro, we've encountered multiple other professionals who have heard similar experiences with this organization. read more

I did not purchase the product there but the manufacturer headed me to Home Pro for help in taking care of me on a warrantee related problem. I used Home Pro about 10 years ago to do a patio cover. They did a very good job. With high expectations, I used them again this summer to get other work done. We had a fence replaced, some landscape work done, and guttering replaced. The landscape and guttering subs did a great job. The fence crew did okay, but left a pretty good mess behind. The actual fence panels and gate hardware appear to be the cheapest they could buy. The landscape crew left things smooth and neat. The fence crew tore up the ground around the new fence and left it a mess. I was told by Rod (Salesman) that's how it is for post-construction fence site (Oh well). Another thing the fence cew did was to make these unusual cut-outs at the bottom of the fence so the panel would fit over some landscape blocks. It looks very amateurish. Next time, I'll know to be VERY specfic about the project from start to finish. On a scale of 1-10, I'd give the fence project a 6.5. I guess my expectations were just too high for HomePro. read more

I contacted HP in May, it's been a nightmare. Understandably it was hard to get supplies in. But they continued to give me the run around instead of being honest. I had a fence put up and it had no gates for several weeks. They left a mess of trash bags and left over fencing. Took a month to clean that up and clean up man found the gates in the mess. HP said they hadn't come in. They delivered siding and it sat in driveway for weeks. Glass siding door was warped and they replaced with someone else's ordered door. Had two new windows put in. Front porch railing installed and gutters. The only thing that went right was the siding business and guttering they sub contracted out. I gave half up front and other half when completed, the end of September. The porch had not been completed because of weather and supplies.... I was to pay siding contractor for that. Finished and I'm very happy with his work and I paid him. HP contacted me they now want to have a walk through and final payment. I've talked to HP twice now and he insists I owe money. HE COLLECTED THE FINNAL PAYMENT.... Today another message to schedule and pay. I call this harassment. If you want work done don't go to these overpriced bozos. They do not communicate and the right hand has no idea what the left is doing. They do not communicate with the client. Supplies showed up and dropped in my drive way with no notice. Be your own contractor. The Siding and guttering businesses were very professional and did a great job! I've been told HP is overpriced and fast talkers. My Dad warned me that after the tornado they shafted a lot of people. Too late! Although HP will say they have 11,000 happy customers.... I'm not one! read more

My wife and I had a positive experience with Home Pro, Joplin, MO. We turned our screened in porch into a sunroom over ten years ago, which we enjoy. Recently we had the exterior of our house painted durning which two the panels were damaged. We went to back to Home Pro to see about getting them repaired. Fred reminded us that when the windows were installed they had a lifetime warrenty and provided us with the repair material. read more

John and everyone at Home Pro are true professionals. I had them install footings for an existing deck and make extensive repairs and improvements to a concrete pool skirt. Horrible company to deal with. They put an in ground pool and spa in and installed the spa completely incorrectly. Stopped taking our calls until they were reported to the Better Business Bureau and then came out and promised to make it right but, again, did not do as promised. We reported them to the BBB a 2nd time and they finally came out to replace the final piece, but the spa is so useless that I'm having it torn out and replacing it with a planter. Be very wary of this company. I now have a job in my backyard not finished and I have had NO communication as to why it is not finished or when it will be finished. I receive little communication in regard to any of the scheduled work. For two weeks I waited for someone to show up finish installation and clean up the mess- nothing. When I called, I got excuses and no answers. There is other work that is supposed to be done and I put half the money down but no word as to when/if the job will start. Just like so many other reviews on Home UnPro I would have given a negative star if I could have. They started out pool in November 2020 and it is still not completed. It is a pool, with tanning ledge and jacuzzi. The jacuzzi has never worked correctly. The dirt work was done horribly so me and my wife did it ourselves with seeding and strawing the whole yard by hand. The concrete is cracked in every corner and has bubbles all over the coping it looks horrific. They installed 1.5 jandy valves in my system up to the pump, the system is built on a 2 inch line so now it is restricted and causes excessive head pressure on my filter. They cracked my platform that my equipment sits on and then denied it once they were confronted, if they didnt do it, who did?? You can either run the jacuzzi with heat (that I installed myself because they could not figure it out) but no bubbles, or bubbles with no heat. The blower on the jacuzzi was hooked up incorrectly and salt water came up through the pipe and they wanted to just sand the electrical brushes with sand paper. Do you know what happens to an electric motor once salt water goes through it?? A whole lot of rust. This all happened because they couldnt find a 5 psi check valve so they put in a 2.5 lbs check valve. So they got the right check valve with a new blower but they said that the 2 hp pump needs to be replaced with a variable 2 hp pump but that will cost me an additional $650. Are you kidding me??? That is laughable, I didnt put in the wrong pump to begin with. Here is a classic Home Pro over charge trick and I have talked to alot of people who have had pools installed, once the concrete is poured expect to get billed for additional concrete. How can this happen when the measurements and plans are agreed upon and quote with contract are signed before the hole is even dug??? Its because they are going to do this to you during the whole process. Now my pool is hollow under the tanning ledge and jacuzzi with the bottom of both areas hollow with waves on the floor, it is buckling. Their ridiculous ideas for the repairs will void my warranty. The idiots took out some of the peers under both of those features and the ones they did leave in are put in incorrectly. Luckily for me I tool pictures of the build process. They never return calls or text messages and when they do they never want to address the real issues. Please do yourself a favor and steer clear of Home Pro or you will join a large group of us who are very unhappy. So, now I have lawyered up and will be taking this to court to have the long arm of justice force him to do what he has worked so hard at side stepping. read more

I had Home Pro come out and put a back door on our house a couple years ago. They Contracted it out to a couple of guys that did a really bad job on it. The guys even gave me their card and told me they could do it cheaper, because "He" the owner of Home Pro just comes out to the sites to make it look like he and his people will do the work but then contract most of it out and just keep the difference. They don't know how to read a contract. They said they were done but I had no electric in contract got it done but took a week. Then done no a cabinet around my grill gave them a picture and what they did was not enough close. I called number of times but always got the run around. Worst Business Ever! If I could do negative stars I would give them a -10. We hired them to fix the eaves on one side of our house back in March of this year. We were told that it would be a simple job, something they could easily get done in a couple hours and that it wouldn't be a problem to fit us in so the job would be done quickly. Let us fast forward to the end of August. (Yes I said August. Lets do some counting. 1,2,3,4,5,6.... 6 Months! For the eaves. One eave on one side of my house! On a job they said would be simple!) My eave has not been touched! We have called multiple times (Yes we had to call them. Never once did they reach out to say hey we have had some setbacks. I'm sorry we haven't made it over to complete the job.) and been giving so many different excuses. I have asked to talk to a manager or the owner and was never given the opportunity. I mean it has been 6 months and the job is NOT done. The sales rep was extremely rude. I even was like "look at this point we can either have you guys do the job at a discounted rate for your mishaps or we would like our money back." All the guy ( I think his name was Ted or Tim) was like well I need to call so an so, we have the supplies in a warehouse to do the job, it didn't require a permit from the city, I don't understand whats going on, but yet he never said I'm sorry. Let me fix this or let me make this right. Instead he got hateful with me like it was my problem that the job wasn't finished. And when I asked for a discount he was like what kind of discount do you expect on a $1000 job? I mean we paid Home Pro half up front and signed a contract in March. (To me that's a nice chuck of money!) I finally had to tell him just send us our money back and we will find someone else who will actually come do the job. He practically hung up on me.
