All the rooms are very spacious suites with nice views of the water. Being right on the Sturgeon Bay, it has a big lawn, a pier, and seats for watching the magnificent sunsets. Though it is in a quiet area off the beaten path, it is within a short driving distance to Sturgeon Bay museums and restaurants (including Culver's, McDonalds, and local restaurants), and not far from many other tourist attractions in Door County. Our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite had a full kitchen, large living room, fireplace, jacuzzi, and deck, and it was very well-maintained and nicely decorated. Every condo had an incredible sunset view. The first floor condos were great for our older fam members and were very convenient. Our third floor condos had some of the most breathtaking views I have ever seen in MI. The staff at WSI are helpful, kind, and professional. I grew up going to Lake Walloon and Boyne City is the best kept secret in the area. I absolutely fell in love with this smaller town.

They also have a number of separate cabins for rental. They have cute sheep in a pasture in back and a big pond nearby that is full of frogs who sing at night. They have fresh baked cookies down in the sitting area and bring you a nice breakfast to your room every morning. There's a swimming pool too Did I say how much I loved staying here? The long time owners and proprietor chose to enjoy a very well deserved retirement this past year with a sale of the property. We unknowingly were aware that the entire property will be razed in a few months. This decision led to no updates, maintenance and failed pool accommodations. We were told some people still have reservations for the end of season so hopefully management will honor those with increased service and staff access. Great place being pushed out for more condos and removing affordable accommodations in the Door county region. We wish them success as we were told it's not in our price range. This was a fine hotel for our 1 night weekend stay here in Door County. We got a "deluxe" queen…read morebed room and the room comes with a small kitchen, a dining table, and a living area (with a sofa sleeper) and so their rooms are actually more like a small 1 bedroom condominium. It would be a particularly nice place for a small family. They have both an indoor and an outdoor pool, not that that was important to us. We booked this place as we made last minute plans to visit Door County with a Saturday night stay and it was the only decent place still available with Chase travel reward points. The room was priced at $317 per night which is about $258 in Chase point value, so it seemed to be on the pricey side. However I think it was also reasonable for a last minute summer weekend booking, so I have no real complaints. They have a great location being right off Highway 42 and close to both Fish Creek and Ephraim town centers. I finally remembered to bring my own pillow and that made a big positive difference in my Door County sleep quality. I'll go with a 3 star ok rating given the average value aspect for a couple. There also is only coffee and hot tea available in the morning here, no in-house breakfast options, and no complimentary bottled water, so it's on the no-frills side here.
