Had Phil inspect a house we were looking at purchasing. inspection came back good with a few notes…read more,no large issues. After closing and moving into the home we have found numerous issues ranging from leaks under sinks not mentioned on the inspection, Rodent droppings/nests in multiple locations, Even a shower surround with construction screws drilled directly into it causing a leak. After contacting Phil to see if we could get a refund he listed the issues as "cosmetic" and "outside the scope of a normal inspection". I would not recommend Phil to anyone as I feel he did a poor job with the inspection and an even worse job trying to make it right after the fact.

I used inspecta-homes based off of my realtors recommendation. Initially it seemed that everything…read morewent fine , it was done a bit quickly but otherwise I was under the impression that they did a thorough job Fast forward a year later and I just had to have my bathroom walls completely tore down and replaced which cost me thousands . I had 3 different licensed contractors come out to take a look and quote me - when I explained that I had only been in the home a short amount of time all 3 were shocked ! They asked if I had an inspection which I told them, yes I did which led to even more shock and frustration . They told me the walls had been deteriorating for years and that any inspector should have caught this - one went on to say that the house should have never been sold to me in this condition, at the very least I should have known about the bathroom water damage - all 3 said that they cannot believe my inspector didn't catch it . I contacted inspecta-homes about this and they refuse to work with me to reimburse the work that had to be done in the bathroom even though they are the ones who missed it - I'm not asking for anything ridiculous, just my expenses to be covered ! I did what I was supposed to do by hiring them, they didn't deliver the services they were paid for . Unfortunately I'm going to have to file a lawsuit - stay away from this company !
