If I had a sunny little villa in the Bahamas or something, this is the stuff I would like to fill it with, as it was I already have a few wish list pieces for my inner city apartment. There is this hot pink paper mâché stags head that I may have just given my heart too! I am such a hussy, whenever the next great little furniture store comes along, I just can't help myself. While the prices in here are a little out of my price range, it is the perfect antidote for a little daytime dreaming! Not just furniture there are also island like clothing items, tog coverups and poncho like things ( alright I'm not really sure what they are) and awesome accessories, like a skull bracelet I saw, and a matching neon necklace, which weren't actually as expensive as the other things in the shop (think like $39ish)

This is such a funky furniture shop I think if you decked your whole house out with purchases from here your place would be magazine photo shoot worthy! The furniture wasn't really in my price range I was disappointed to discover. But I will keep the shop in mind and I know I will be in for the odd piece when I can afford it! There were also some funky clothes down the back. I got particularly excited by a gorgeous full length playsuit before I discovered its sale price was still in the hundreds. What a pity... I was eager to see myself wearing it!

Not that I'm scared of the dark or anything just that I'd prefer to sit in a well-lit room rather than a dim and dingey one! Anyways I think this slight obsession has led to an appreciation of lighting design and Firefly completely captures this. They have a huge selection of intriguing lights and lamps and chandeliers and offer a good design service if you need help with coordinating things in your home. Its not just lighting products here; they have all sorts of stylish homeware and one-off furniture pieces too, even cool cushions and giftware. Price-point is on the upper scale so I can't actually afford anything but I still really enjoy looking around the store - it's a showroom to inspire.

While this one doesn't look all that flash from the outside there are a few nice pieces to discover inside. That's what I like about stores like these that you can find something that looks a little like junk but then you take it home and give it a little love and care and it can be made to look awesome if you have the right attitude. While I feel completely different about second hand clothes, I think antique furniture really has character to it. It has history. On my first visit in here I found a dark cane treasure chest which I just love and have sitting at the foot of my bed now. And on my latest visit, found the most spectacular headboard and managed to lug it home and get it inside before my bf could see it but I found out to my dismay that it was an odd size and didn't fit my Queen size bed, it was something in between a double and a Queen. So I took it back and the lovely older gentleman who works here had no qualms about replacing it for me with another great headboard he had just gotten in that morning. I really appreciated his thoughtfulness, you don't get that often in customer service these days.

Everything from rolling storage devices, to shoe racks, pretty patterned boxes etc. They even stock a range of furniture; bookshelves and I even found a cute little side table here. While I eventually decided on the cheap option of a large plastic box type thing that I could put clothes into and then stash away in the actual wardrobe, I was initially sidetracked by these pretty laundry hampers, until I looked at the prices and saw that they were $89.00, which was just ridiculously expensive. A lot of the things in here were a lot pricier than I thought they would have been for what they actually are, just things to store other things in.
