I went to Home Bargains today, it is the first home bargains store in Milton Keynes and it opened today in Bletchley, I couldn't wait to go and see what they had to offer so off we went on the day of opening. To be quite honest I must say I was slightly disappointed only by what they stocked, I guess this one isn't as big as some other home bargains because people have told me they have bought frozen food and chilled food really cheap but at this one there is no freezer or chilled section.
I was really impressed with the prices though, the reason they can make the prices so cheap is because they do not know what they are going to receive when their deliveries arrive and the fact that the sell by or best before dates are a little short but as long as you are going to consume it within that time then it's a bargain. Here is an example of some of their prices, I bought 4rolls of andrex tissue the other day at my local budgens it cost £2. For 18rolls of toilet tissue in home bargains it was £2.90 how's that for money saving. This store has plenty of tills, the staff seem friendly and the store isn't cramped at all. read more
