The people are welcoming to new people, the facilities are nice and bright (there really is an ocean view). But most important, the preaching is sound and biblical. We have been members at this church for a little over 5 years now. My children chose this church for our family because they love the Children's Church here. The staff in the children's church are friendly and caring. There is a staff to children ratio and I love that about this place. They treat your child just as they would treat their own child...I've never witnessed any yelling at children at Hope Harbor. There is a cafe and bookstore in the Fellowship Hall. Often times, there are food items that are free for the taking from the Food Ministry. On Friday Nights, they feed the community with a ministry called "Rock Soup." Also, there are 3 convenient times for worship. Friday nights at 7PM, Sundays at 9AM and 11AM...the worship team rocks! If you would come to church for the worship...this is the place to be! The messages are delivered in a way that you can truly find real -life application to. It is awesome! I have only wonderful things to say about this church! My true love was singing in the youth Choir and the adult choir. I've been singing in choirs since i was age 5. moving to college was a continuation of my singing which grew into being a choral conductor... enough about me. First pres is an outstanding leader of the community. Their endless sharing and community work far exceeds expectations Their love and kindness is unsurpassed by other churches and denominations. Everyone hangs out afterwards and talks to each other and there's coffee and doughnuts! But if you attempt to not abide by the rules, be prepared to be confronted about it. STRAIGHT UP.. When my grandma died I was there to be a comfort to her during her lasts breathes and sometime after that I got exposed to pornography and found that as an outlet for my grief but little did I know that it would bring anxiety,depression, fear and insecurities. And during my junior and high school years it made a huge negative impact on my performance in school.
