Brought my entire family here for Easter Sunday celebration and it was spectacular- the orchestra even impressed my New York side of the family. I have learned how to plan enough time to get a parking spot and a seat and it is working great. I especially enjoy the sermons- they are not bible study or a rant and rave lecture- I love the pastor he is down to earth and well in tune with what his parishioners need to hear to lift them up and gently guide them toward being better Christians.

The parking situation was extremely frustrating and overwhelming--there simply wasn't enough parking available, and there were no attendants or clear directions on where to go. For a place that's supposed to be welcoming and peaceful, the lack of organization made the entire experience stressful. First impressions matter, and this one completely missed the mark. Churches should not feel chaotic or anxiety-inducing before you even walk through the doors. 0/10 -- I didn't even get the chance to attend because of how stressful the parking situation was. There definitely needs to be better planning and guidance for visitors.

I have attended church all of my life, but never treated like this church, it's leaders and even those "friends" have treated me. I heard some good sermons, but when real life situations come along, just know that this pastor and these people will judge you and you can become an outcast they even refuse to acknowledge. They will cut you off. It's been one of the most hurtful, but eye opening experiences in my life. This has to be the takeaway ...that pastors are just people who make mistakes, but it is my belief that they also are in a position of leadership and authority and will be led to correct those, and always act in love, like Christ. This has not been my experience with C3 Trinity or it's members whom were my "friends". I hope they never treat another person like they have me, but I'm smart enough to understand and have a realistic sense that I wasn't the first or, sadly, the last. It is my opinion that, in any church, the members should know the finances of the church they financially support...this is a major issue in churches today. When pastors have financial control and hide their personal finances, members should demand transparency.

Simply put everyone here is just so nice! Pastor Joe is a great pastor with a "no excuses" attitude. Like a great musical, most people want to walk away whistling a tune they heard from a musical, same for me here, but thinking more about what was spoken here from the sermon. Down stairs they have a great book store covering a wide number of biblical topics. Their numerous Sunday school classes cover a number of different topics. If you're looking for a new church, here is one to put on your list. Years back, I attended here on Wednesdays nights to hear a young woman named Paige. Now that was a real find on the churches part. Word got out and within months we had to move her sermon area to a larger area, which happened two more times after that as well. Wow, now that was some of the best sermons I had ever heard. Now I'm not a holy roller by any means, but I do feel this is a great church.

A few months after joining the sanctuary choir, though, I was surprised to find myself feeling more and more at home throughout the church (not just in the choir loft). The Unitarian church is not like other churches. For those of you who don't know anything about it, a good place to start is our principles: * The inherent worth and dignity of every person; * Justice, equity and compassion in human relations; * Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations; * A free and responsible search for truth and meaning; * The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large; * The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all; * Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part. If the principles above align with yours, come check out First UU. One other thing about the church that makes me proud is that we're just about to break ground on a new education building, and we plan to pursue LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certification for it (we're hoping for silver).

We did feel like the 'token' gay couple, it was a bit uncomfortable. Sort of surprised because we really thought in that area, there'd be plenty others there. During the greeting part, WE introduced ourselves to members there & not the other way around. After service the girl at the welcome desk had a conversation with me but literally no other members spoke a word to us. So I enjoyed the sermon but the welcoming left something to be desired. Munger Place is an older Church with some newer updates, including a large screen for lyrics and videos, an elaborate sound system, and an elaborate lighting system. We really enjoyed the message, it was a great mix between biblical focus and historical and anecdotal stories. I would say the message seemed very moderate, nothing too conservative, nothing too liberal. I enjoyed the diversity in terms of the people in the Church. There was not a dominant age range and there was a variety of "types" of people too. It is a casual church, some people had shorts and tshirts on, a few guys still wore suits. I would say the middle is "sundress casual". They were very welcoming but also not in your face. We were able to try the church without feeling like we had to sign up for all sorts of things. They did send us a handwritten thank you for joining them note this last week which was a nice touch. (We filled out a card in the pew). The music was contemporary rock. They have a cage for the drums, so unlike at some churches where the rock band becomes unbearably loud, the noise was nicely controlled here. Coffee in the back, people also brought their own from home and enjoyed it during the service. Overall we enjoyed it and will likely make it one of our normal stops on our list.
