Dr. Wei tried various treatment methods and would not stop until I completely got well again. He is very persistent and caring and he takes his time to explain to you what is the issue and what it actually means to your health. I have even been to him to have a complete physical done and he called me himself to tell me the results. My Dad had a nasty cold last winter and one day Dr. Wei ran into my Dad out in public and took the time to ask him is he was better and if his cold had gone away completely. The man really cares about his patients. The rest of his staff are great too. Everyone is very friendly, helpful, and efficient. Note: One of the nurses told me that Sunday is probably their busiest day of the week and sometimes they have so many people that when the waiting room gets full, people have to line up outside in the hall to wait for their turn. I like to go on Saturday mornings because it is usually not that long of a wait to see Dr. Wei.

Both are attentive, friendly, and really take the time to listen to all my concerns. I appreciate how they both consider my needs when creating a treatment plan, making sure I feel comfortable with the approach. I've been a fan of having annual checkups with nurse practitioners over doctors for years. I find that I often get more personalized attention and time and also creativity. Jacqueline delivered on my expectations. Jacqueline does checkups for grownups, kids, and even well-woman exams. She is awesome. As a side note, the office is small which means you can get same day appointments.

I have always been able to get in on the same day when I am sick, which I greatly appreciate. When scheduling physicals, the appointment is usually within a week or two. Robin, the receptionist, is so sweet. She always remembers who I am, and does a great job at the front desk and phone. There have been several different nurses over the years, but right now, Nicole and Natasha are great! I like them a lot! Kathryn Fordham (Katie), the current NP that I see, is wonderful! I like her very much! She takes a lot of time with me, she is patient, seems interested, doesn't rush. The office is very clean and decorated nicely. I do like that I can get a cup of coffee (Keurig) on my way out the door too! That's a bonus!! I highly recommend this medical practice.

I've been going to Dr. Matthew Brust at Family Practice of Southern Hill for over a decade…read more I have several congenital neurological malformations. My last Doctor ignored my symptoms leading me to not get the proper diagnoses (Chiari Malformation & Syringomyelia) and surgery until a few weeks before I would have became paralyzed! I, of course, changed Primary Care Physicians immediately, to Dr. Matthew Brust and haven't regretted it for a moment! I trust him completely with my health and my very life on a daily basis - I see him several times a year. He's always willing to fit me in if I'm having some strange symptoms or flare up. The last straw for me was that I was rescheduled twice by the office. I've communicated the importance of my time & others. I don't recommend any of the Tri-Star Medical Group. My father warned me about them when I was in my early 20s, but I like my relationship with my doctor until he moved to a Brentwood location and then they all went aka office people went down hill. Sad. Repeat don't go. Loyalty doesn't mean much here, unfortunately.

From the beginning I felt she was rather unfriendly and someone I was hesitant to speak to about medical issues. I had already tried a couple of physicians prior to Dr. McDonald and was getting discouraged with the process so I decided to continue seeing her. Recently I was sick and scheduled an appointment with her. I cancelled due to feeling too ill to drive the 30 minutes to her office and asked to reschedule. I ended up cancelling the rescheduled one after finding an over the counter medicine to combat the illness. Today I came home to a letter stating Dr. McDonald would no longer be my physician due to no-show appointments. The appointments that I called prior to and let the front office know that I would not be attending due to my illness subsiding. This upset me greatly because the process of finding another physician (especially with a long list of medication and mental health diagnoses) can be very stressful. The judgement and pretentiousness of that office astounds me, and the fact that a patient can be dismissed after rescheduling/canceling an appointment is baffling.

A few years back I found myself in a pinch when my PCP had to suddenly retire due to an illness,…read moreand I had not yet found a new PCP to replace her. A Minute Clinic NP referred me to Dr. McDonald for a follow-up. I'll admit, I was very hesitant as I wanted to stay within the Vandy Group of physicians. But feeling as though I had nothing to lose, I gave her a shot. For roughly two years, Dr. McDonald and her staff provided me with great care. It was easy to get an appointment on the fly, as well as navigate to and from appointments. Unfortunately, this came to an abrupt end. I found myself reminding the staff over and over again of my allergy to one particular medication. Lo and behold, right before a holiday weekend, I drove to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription her office had sent over. The pharmacist advised his records indicated I was allergic to the medication prescribed, and he refused to fill it. Sure enough, it was the same medication I had reminded the office of on numerous occasions. So there I was...a few minutes after 5pm on a Friday afternoon...frustrated. I took the pharmacist's advice and called the doc's answering service. I advised the call taker of the situation, but she advised she could not page the physician on call over prescription matters. I reiterated to the call taker that the office had already called in the prescription (non-narcotic by the way), but had made a mistake. The call taker then again refused. Five days later when the office reopened, the office staff seemed anything BUT concerned over the matter, and half-ass apologized. As a result, I shall no longer use or recommend their services.

If I ever get to write a review this fun again, I don't k now when it will be…read more Trent Rosenbloom is a doctor, but he has a second and more important job - Trent is Nashville's Mohel. Now for anyone who does not know what a mohel is, he is the guy who is responsible for helping Jewish families fulfill the commandment to bring their children into the Covenant of Abraham - in other words, he is - The Circumciser! I've had the opportunity to use Trent twice in this regard. My oldest is five and my third is now 2 1/2. The first time was exceedingly difficult. I had been to circumcision ceremonies before. I was fairly knowledgeable about what goes on and I even knew it was the responsibility of the father to perform the act, unless he cannot, in which case he designates someone else - the moyel. I had never met Trent before, but into my house strode this dred locked guy who told me he was not only a doctor, but also the mohel. We discussed the ceremony in some detail as well as the preparation for my son. We readied the tools he needed and he showed me the clamp he would use and the scalpel I would use, as I opted to do the cut myself. The Rabbi said some nice words - I was in a bit of a fog - and Trent prepared my son and handed me the scalpel. The last thing I remember was him commenting on his size (from his mothers side of the family) and then I stated. Since he was indeed large, I didnt get it all at first and had to go back. Time stopped except for the whispers of my family standing close and saying - Why is it taking so long. Its not supposed to take this long is it? Is something wrong? Fortunately, I finished and did just fine and it came out great. Of course Trent was a big help as he made fun of me for it for the next 5 years (and counting) We had no drama with my younger child and in fact, it went so smoothly that we convinced another friend and elite Yelper to perform the ceremony himself when it was his kids time. If you're Jewish and have a boy, there is no finer mohel in Nashville than Trent Rosenbloom.

Given that a friend and fellow recipient of the services of Dr. S. Trent took the opportunity to…read morereview his services, I couldn't help but put in my two cents. Being thankfully too young to remember my own circumcision, I was a little apprehensive about my son's. We first sat down with Trent at the Fido, where he was taking his daughters out for breakfast. He sat us down and handed us some literature, whilst managing his younguns, and answered all of our questions. He clearly had a much more intimate, spiritual approach to the ceremony than some of the other mohels we contacted. It seemed less of a business transaction and more of something that was supposed to be an inclusive experience. One thing he mentioned as well was how he felt very strongly that the father should actually do the deed, that he would set everything up, put the ball on the tee (no pun intended). Didn't seem like something I really wanted to do, I felt very comfortable leaving it to the professionals. As time went on, he was there to answer any questions, and gave us some great advice on how to get the little guy ready, using a cream that would cause him minimal discomfort, again, a very progressive approach to the experience. He also gave us guidance on how we needed to plan the event and meal afterwards. When the big day finally came, the rabbi, Trent, and a couple of pals administered scotch and told me I should be the one to do the deed. When it came time for that part of the ritual, with 40 people in my downstairs, I said that I would fulfill the act rather than delegate it to the mohel, Trent. The look on my wife's face was priceless, good thing I got it on video. Now my son pees to the left, but I was really glad I got to be a part of the ceremony (I kid, I kid). Looking back at that day now, almost two years later, I can't imagine having it gone any better. Truly thankful for Dr. Trent's services to the community and the powerful experience he helped to facilitate.
