His appointments are one on one, nobody else to adjust you except for him, making the appointment feel more personal as if he actually cares for your needs and concerns. My uncle is a chiropractor, I worked in his office for two years in high school, when I moved to Utah I was always in search of someone with similar techniques and kindness, I found that in Dr. Holmes. Dr. Brian Holmes has been my chiropractor since 2003, and over the years I have recommended him to everyone who's told me they need to be seen by one. When I first went to Dr. Holmes, I was 13. I had thrown out my back in gym class and had to see a chiropractor immediately. After a quick search on Google, we found his address and headed there as soon as possible. Upon entering his office, I noticed it was very clean, his staff was so sweet, and I immediately felt comfortable when I met him. He did all the x-rays, stretching and adjustments I needed, made sure he wasn't hurting me too bad since I was already in so much pain, and within a few days of continuous treatment, I was up and running again like I was never injured in the first place. Every time I go in, Dr. Holmes asks me how my family is, how my job is, what my day has been like - I truly feel so comfortable every time I go in for an appointment. This man is a passionate, professional doctor who is knowledgeable, funny, caring, and would do anything for his patients - including last minute or weekend emergency calls (if you really need it)! The day before my senior prom in 2008, my sciatic nerve started acting up and I could barely even walk (let alone dance). I called Dr. Holmes to see if he could do anything, and he told me to come in right away. I was adjusted that day, and the next day right before my prom, and I was totally pain free. Brian Holmes is a miracle worker, I'm serious! Another thing I feel I should mention, is that even though my particular insurance didn't cover the cost of my visits, I still only wanted to go and see Dr. Holmes. That's how much I trusted him with my back. He started up a little program where you can pre-pay for as many visits as you like, so when you come in the next time, it's free! That's what I do, and I know I can go in and see him any time I need to, even if I don't have extra money in my pocket. I am so sad to know he is moving away from San Diego; I know I am going to have a hard time finding a chiropractor even close to Dr. Holmes. Dr Holmes is the best chiropractor around! My SIL went to him first because he threw his back out working on our home construction. Dr Holmes was able to see him right away and after only a few visits, my SIL was back to work and pain free. Because of that I went to see him for ongoing pain in my hip. I had gone to physical therapy for 8 weeks and they had been able to do nothing for my discomfort. Dr Holmes first took x-rays (something the physical therapist never did) and with my information about the pain I was experiencing was able to pinpoint the problem pretty quickly. I saw him a couple of times a week at first, and then as the problem seemed to be getting better went to once a week. He has reasonable payment plans to cover almost every budget. And he also adjusted my neck and my back when they were giving me problems. Dr Holmes is very personable and fun to talk to. His wife, Julie, is the receptionist and we became good friends. Brian is amazing! I had some pain in my lower back for a really long time...no number of deep tissues massages could touch it. I finally decided to try a chiropractor. I have many friends that go to Brian also and just rave about how much better they feel. He is very professional and does X-rays before any adjustments are made. We could see that everything but my 5th lumbar looked good and after my adjustment the pain in my lower back (which wasn't close to that 5th lumbar) the pain went away. We found that it was pinching a nerve. I could actually feel my back recovering and healing after my adjustment. I also had a headache that day and as soon as he adjusted me with my neck, my headache went away. I also had a long road trip following treatment and usually would have to have some kind of back support in that area of my back that hurt and after 5 days of driving, it never bothered me. AMAZING! I did however coming back home start to get tense and stress built up about work, so I went in and had another adjustment and it was so relieving. Dr. Holmes is a miracle worker. After throwing out my back, I went to a different chiropractor my friend recommended and had even worse pain after the session. I was crying, hurting nonstop, shaking, and even falling on the floor from the sudden onset of pain. Is was terrible. It lasted 3 days, before I decided to find a different doctor. I got a recommendation to go see Dr. Holmes, from a family friend. I'm so glad I did, he did a full assessment, X-rays and adjustment and I walked out of there with one foot in front of the other instead of shuffling which I had done for 3 days. I came to UT from AZ for a wedding. I injured my back before I left but didn't have time to get it fixed before I left. Dr. Holmes was amazing and very thorough.
