I got to know Martin when he applied stucco to my wife's house, he did a great job. I was…read moreremodeling my house and I needed to get it sealed, I had problems with leaking. I also had problems with rot. Martin worked with my other contractors, first advising them of where the rot was, there was far more rot than the contractors originally identified. I'm grateful that he detected the additional damage, otherwise I would have been addressing the additional damage in the next few years. He also advised me to replace a window that was compromised. Old stucco was removed, new plywood applied and Martin and his crew applied the new stucco. I was going to paint the house and I needed a proper painting surface. Besides the new stucco, I had a layer of colored stucco rather than paint on the rest of the house. Some of that was cracked and needed to be sealed. Martin's solution to seal the house and get a uniform painting surface was to put a thin layer of mesh and stucco over the old stucco (thus sealing the old stucco) and a layer of white acrylic over all of the stucco. It was so beautiful, I received many compliments, and we hadn't painted yet. The job was a bit complicated, my house is on a hill and is very tall greater than 30ft, and the ground around the house is not level. MSR Stucco Finishes are experts with scaffolding, setting it up around the entire house; this was a work of art in itself. MSR pays attention to all the details when it comes to safety, the scaffolding was anchored to my house to make sure it was steady. I'm also grateful that Martin helped out my painters by erecting scaffolding for their use. They are no-nonsense at MSR Stucco Finishes, they do the job the right way and will bring up any concerns that they have about anything that might become an issue; things that I never thought about. There were instances of doorways and windows that needed to be addressed to make sure there was no leaking. Over the course of the job, MSR has to remove lights and gutters from the house, they were very respectful of my property. They organized these things and also picked up other such items that some of the other contractors left laying around the property and placed them in a neat pile where they wouldn't get lost or damaged. When my other contractors left the job site and left behind a rather large pile of construction debris, Martin offered to clean it up, I and my neighbors were grateful. MSR is always devoted to finishing the job, often working weekends. The company as a whole works very hard, Martin and Abraham, the owners, set the example. What began as a simple project just kept growing. We have a 1928 Spanish bungalow that required some major plumbing work. Daniel updated the main, plumbed a bathroom, replaced corroded drains in the second bathroom that were causing major issues (of which we were not aware of and saved us from a HUGE problem in the near future). Some electrical rewiring was updated in the basement. YAY! Within 1 week, the main and most of the plumbing is brand new with quality materials. Our basement is gorgeous! Miguel and Daniel constructed a new ceiling with all the plumbing hidden providing more height (raised the pipes), recessed lighting, additional light switches (modern with a remote), excellent carpentry, crown molding, created a finished storage closet which includes shelves for easy access, a new door jam and door with updated lighting within and added some special touches for ease, convenience and a curved ceiling to match the charm of rest of the house. Hector joined the team to do a detailed paint job. A lovely vinyl floor was placed to finish off the project. There were so many other things done by a professional, remarkable and talented team.
