I call up Baked per a friends recommendation and the employees on the phone were SO accommodating and took my hysterical self in right away. Alexa did an AMAZING job and gave me the perfect pre-wedding glow. She calmed me down and made me feel comfortable the whole time! Afterwards, it started to rain (cue the hysterics again) and the employees were so so nice and lent me an umbrella and basically walked me to my car. It's both a tanning and nail salon nestled in the corner of this mini and nearly dilapidated strip mall. The first time I went, the airbrush tanning concoction was already made without consulting me first. They didn't ask me about my skin tone, and how dark I wanted to be. I brought this up to the airbrush technician, and she said it was a "one-color fits all" type of deal. At $27, which is reasonably priced, I just went with the flow. The color was so light, it barely made any difference at all. (I followed all the normal pre-airbrush procedures and didn't shower until 12 hours afterwards.) I am naturally pasty. I don't want to be a slightly less pasty shade of pasty. Even though $27 is a fair price, I still paid for a service, so service my skin and take me from the Nordic to the Mediterranean. A few months later I decided to give TipToe and Tan another shot, which proved to be impossible. First of all, the airbrush technician is only available by appointment on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. Could you get any more inconvenient? If you are a tanning salon, and advertise airbrush tanning as one of your services, then make your service available. Oh, wait, maybe the name of your business means the customer needs to "tip toe" around YOUR schedule. Interesting. So I scheduled for a Thursday evening on a Tuesday. Wednesday I get a voicemail that the airbrush technician had "another project" that would prevent her from being in the building, would I like to reschedule? No, I certainly would not. I will give this place two stars instead of one, and give them the benefit of the doubt that just maybe their nail and tanning bed services are better than their horrid airbrush service.

She simply told me that her computer said there was nothing wrong and never came back to see what was going on. After 5 min the lights finally came on, but turned off a min later. I asked for more time considering the lights didn't come on for 5 min. She was very rude and said it was my fault for leaving the bed and wouldn't give me any more time. Again, I've went there before and have had been satisfied with my tan, however the fact that the staff was rude and unhelpful when something doesn't go smoothly turns me off from ever going there again. I will be taking my money elsewhere.

When I first walked in, I was so self conscious but by the end, I forgot I was basically stripped down in front of a stranger. Evelyn made me so comfortable and she talked to me about all of the issues I had with my skin. She helped me decide on what was good for me and I could not be happier with the results. In all my years of spray tanning, nobody has ever topped Evelyn's work. I go to her because she prides herself on providing quality service. And it shows. My appointment was for Saturday at 2:30. Parking is available at Aldersgate across the street from the salon, but luckily I found street parking. If you're visiting the salon on a weekday, definitely park at Aldersgate. As always, Evelyn was very thorough with me. She explained what she was doing when she was doing it, and made sure the tan was flawless once she finished spraying me. Evelyn provides an exfoliant, aftercare instructions, and lotion to take home with you to use after your shower. The salon itself is cozy and quiet; the perfect addition to the Willow Grove area. Besides spray tans, Evelyn also does sugaring and lash extensions. It's not often that I get spray tans, but I will always refer Evelyn to my family and friends.
