We met beforehand to discuss what we wanted to include and exclude in our ceremony. This went very smoothly. I loved the ideas he had to offer and he was very open and flexible to what we wanted. He was also very respectful, which made communicating much easier. When the big day came, he arrives a bit earlier so we could rehearse. Once it was showtime, the entire ceremony was quick, lovely, and perfect. Our families loved that we chose him to marry us. If you are looking for someone to marry you, this is your man. He has years of experience, is flexible, and overall, a very nice man. I wish I could give him a million stars, but the 5 stars will do for now. Thank you, Rev Thomas for marrying us!

Mike officiated our June 2009 wedding, and he did a phenomenal job! Mike has a great presence about…read morehim during ceremonies and exceptional oratory skills. Mike truly makes your ceremony all about you and will customize it to meet your specific needs. We went through a few rounds of edits to tweak the ceremony content; collaborating with him was a fun process. When you work with Mike, his base fee includes an in-person meeting before the wedding to get to know you better as a couple, answer any questions you may have, etc. It also includes his participation in the rehearsal (and of course, the actual wedding!) - in our case, not only did he participate in the rehearsal but he played a key role in getting folks organized and making suggestions on how/where to stand, the processional, etc. This was a huge help because we ended up arriving about 15 minutes late to the rehearsal, while he was about 20 minutes early, so time was of the essence and he wasn't the least bit put off by the slight delay on our end. This guy really knows his stuff! Mike officiates weddings all over California, so don't let the fact that he's based in Groveland (in the Yosemite-ish area) stop you. He's used to driving quite a distance to officiate weddings - making the trek to Los Gatos seemed like no big thing to him. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and a super nice guy, to boot. I initially expected the reception to be the source of pretty much all of my favorite wedding day memories, but because of Mike, the ceremony was one of my absolute favorite parts of the day. He made it so very special for both of us, and we were truly fortunate to work with an officiant as wonderful as Mike.
