This review is for Brooke Congalves:…read more I'm new to the area and had been searching for a new hairstylist, which can honestly be nerve-racking when you've been searching from someone you can trust with your hair for years. I don't have access to social media, so I ended up finding Brooke through Yelp and I am SO happy I did! I reached out to her by text and she responded almost immediately. Before my appointment, I sent her a photo of my current hair along with a few inspiration pictures of what I was hoping to achieve. Right from the beginning, communication was easy and I felt like she understood what I was looking for. The salon itself is adorable clean, welcoming, and has a really cute modern feel. When I met Brooke, she took the time to actually look at my hair and talk with me about my goals. One of the most important things to me is keeping my hair healthy because I'm trying to grow it long which has taken some time. She was very upfront that getting exactly where I ultimately want to be would be a process, and I REALLY appreciated that instead of trying to do too much in one appointment. She respected the integrity and health of my hair while still getting me incredibly close to my inspiration photos. Brooke was also just genuinely nice and easy to talk to. The entire appointment was comfortable, relax and I was in and out in about three hours, which was another huge plus. She's also only about a 15-minute drive from my house, so finding someone this close who I actually trust with my hair feels like hitting the jackpot! Her pricing was very affordable, but to be completely honest, the quality of her work was beyond! If you're looking for someone who listens to what you want, is realistic about the process, cares about maintaining the health and integrity of your hair, and can actually deliver what you show her in an inspiration photo, go see Brooke. So happy I found MY new stylist. 10/10. Absolutely recommend!

I can't say enough good things about Charlene and Launa!…read more I was attending a wedding at a Temecula winery and wanted to be done up for the occasion. Charlene handled my hair and Launa did my makeup, and together they nailed it. Charlene guided me on adding curl but not too much volume. I was very happy with the result. Launa's makeup was equally awesome. She made me feel put together without my makeup being heavy or overdone. It held up beautifully through a long evening and I received a lot of compliments. Both ladies were professional, warm, attentive, and invested in making sure I loved the final result. They listened to what I wanted and delivered just that. I left feeling confident, beautiful, and ready for a gorgeous wedding. I would absolutely book Charlene and Launa again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for hair and makeup artists who are talented, professional, and a pleasure to work with. Thank you both for helping make the weekend so special!

She responds in a timely manner, answers all your questions, and is very knowledgeable in cosmetics. I absolutely LOVED my makeup; it was perfectly done. She not only did my makeup, but my entire bridal party as well. I wanted a natural look, and she delivered. She exceeded my expectations. Everyone complimented us on our makeup and how beautiful we looked. I was also pleasantly surprised that the makeup lasted all night. My now husband was very specific on how he wanted my makeup to look. I don't usually wear a lot of makeup, and he was concerned that a makeup artist would cake on makeup and make me look unnatural. He was very vocal and wasn't shy to put his two cents in, and she was great the entire time. When he saw our makeup, he loved it!!! If you're in Temecula or close to that area, I would definitely recommend Serena. She's professional and made me feel at ease the entire time.

There was always a Dry Bar nearby home or my office. It was predictable and dependable for special occasions and weekly blow outs as I'm terrible at doing my hair. I asked around everywhere online, FB Mom's groups. I guess it's not common here like it is in LA. Anyways, had a quick chat on Yelp with the salon and booked an appointment for a blow out and makeup for my outdoor maternity photo shoot. Michele did both my hair and makeup for me. She was excellent. She needed little direction from me at all. She knew exactly what I wanted and executed perfectly. She's great! I was impressed. I will definitely return. As a newbie to the area, I didn't know but if you come here on a Saturday be prepared to park far away at City Hall and walk over. Not a big deal unless you're 8 months pregnant and hot! It's located right in the heart of Old Town and the tourists pour in here! Lesson learned. Give yourself extra time! Thank you for a wonderful experience, Michele.

Hands down one of the BEST hair and makeup experiences we've ever had!…read more From start to finish, our experience at Thomas Edwards Salon in Temecula was flawless. We shared our inspiration photos for both hair and makeup, and Alena and Mercedes absolutely brought our vision to life--with a level of care, artistry, and professionalism that exceeded all expectations. Alena, who did our hair, was simply phenomenal. She carefully walked through the inspo photos we provided and made thoughtful suggestions based on our face shapes and event needs. I told her I wanted volume at the crown, but still needed a style that would hold all night long--and wow, did she deliver. My hair stayed perfectly in place for 12+ hours, with lightweight hairspray that didn't feel stiff and a secure yet gentle hold using bobby pins. Alena's approach was kind, open, and collaborative, and her execution was perfection. I truly felt beautiful and comfortable the entire night. Mercedes, who did our makeup, was equally amazing. She matched our references exactly--giving my daughter a fresh, natural glow, and giving me a smoky glam look with a subtle shadow wing that was elegant and dramatic without being overdone. She even added a touch of body oil on exposed areas for that extra touch of radiance! Her attention to detail and commitment to making us feel confident and camera-ready was incredible. The reviews were right--these ladies are magic. I live in San Diego, and I will happily make the drive back to Temecula for my next event. Yes--even if it means going all the way back to downtown SD. They are that good. And a big thank you to Brenda for setting us up with these two gems! You've got a dream team at Thomas Edwards Salon, and we're already looking forward to our next visit.

She did my makeup for my wedding day, as well as makeup for my mom and two bridesmaids. I felt so confident in her ability as soon as she was finished airbrushing my face during my trial. I was most concerned with my eye makeup, yet had no idea what I wanted during my trial. She completed a beautiful look, but after I went home and browsed Pinterest, I decided I wanted something totally different for my wedding day. I emailed her and she was very open with me about what that could mean, but wanted me to be happy. Fast forward to my wedding day, and Raeleen was at the hotel room bright and early. My mom had never had her makeup done to this extent, and was nervous that the airbrushing wouldn't cover her hyper-pigmentation on her cheeks. My sister never wears makeup and asks a lot of questions. Raeleen was so sweet and patient with my mom and sister and they both are still raving about how pretty they felt! My mom said she wishes Raeleen could follow her around everywhere lol :) Raeleen is very quick at responding to text messages and emails. She has very reasonable prices, and is worth every penny. I wanted to give Bella Rae Day Spa 4 stars. So much. But unfortunately, the facts just don't…read moresupport it. First, the words "day spa" are quite misleading. Although nicely decorated, a walk-in closet sized room with a treatment table & a couch does not a day spa make. I initially was interested in the organic fruit facial. It is advertised on the site as having "fruit acids, vitamins and enzymes that will reveal smooth radiant hydrated skin." But I was told on the phone and in person that it is used solely for relaxation. Misleading again. When you arrive on time for your appointment you may find as I did, that the shades are drawn and the door is locked. You then come across a small rectangular door hanger tucked in the window reading "Please don't disturb, session in progress." Raeleen, while congenial on the phone, mentions nothing of this situation that may occur. And the website uses the terms "us & "we", misleadingly so. The time for the treatment comes and goes as I wait outside. We start late. I am not given a receipt for the cash payment. After paying I am rushed to leave. Overbearingly so. While the treatment felt good, unfortunately with so many warning signs I just can't bring myself to return.
