I can't believe bear paddle and kids first swim are even in the same league as goldfish. We went to both of those places. Other parents told me their kids have been taking lessons at bear paddle for 2 years without knowing how to swim. That's such a waste of time! We found goldfish from a neighbor and it's been amazing. I love the vibe there. Shout out to Ava, Ethan !!

We love AHK's instructor and love the ability to makeup classes when we need to. The facility is clean and they do a great job at communicating if there are any changes to the schedule. Prices are comparable to the other neighboring swim schools, but we liked Goldfish because they are offered times on Sundays, which works best for our schedule. We look forward to many more years here!

All my questions and emails were answered in a timely manner. The class sizes are small and individual attention could be given. Improvement for my daughter was noticeable in very short order. The hard working instructors (Josh & Steve for us), were spot on with directions. They had the student's attention with their verbal directions and showed the strokes and kicks themselves. At times they tag teamed to teach a class and were cohesive and inspiring. We also received a considerate phone call on the one time the pool had a problem, so we didn't leave the house and make an unnecessary trip. We look forward to good continued experiences in the future. Thanks everyone! !

The teachers are trained well before holding their own classes. Ability to make up class works well for me and my kiddo between their 2 locations - around cherry hill mall on Saturdays and in Voorhees on Sundays (right across from Target Voorhees). The owner and the staffs are very helpful. Miss Colleen, our teacher, has so much patience especially when my toddler is having her 'off days'. Get them started early to be comfortable in the water. They show up ready to do their job - I was a slow mover due to a lot of fear and some past trauma . I've taken lessons with other companies. BSS was the best, I would definitely recommend and I'm hoping I can come back after summer. I really do love the team but for me, Evan and Kevin are heaven sent, not only great at what they do, but also great people . I occasionally had Esperanza and Allegria who are great too. Esperanza will show you tricks and modifications- she has great tips. Allegria had more confidence in me than I had in myself and somehow would always get me to attempt something more "adventurous"; You have to find which person fits you best but they are all great.

However, I don't recommend this swim school because in months of lessons my seven year old has made no progress in learning to swim. She still won't even put her face in the water. I am aware that there may be a range of abilities among kids, but it's reasonable to expect some progress. And, if my kid were having particular issues preventing her from learning, someone at the school should have talked to me about it, which has not happened.

What I completely disagree with is how they charged me for one class 3/30 +the membership fee $27 (totaling $49.75) THEN charged my account the monthly fee of $100 beginning 4/1. The monthly & membership fee is understandable (other than the fact they never tell you how much the membership fee actually is in the policy). It's the charging me for ONE class on 3/30 that actually was canceled on their behalf & was rescheduled for 4/1. Why would am i being charged for a class i didn't attend? Why doesn't the policy state that you'll be charged/ billed separately for the first class attended of X amount of dollars regardless if it was actually the first of the month + billed monthly the same day/week? I never actually even got to attend the classes 3/30???
