If you are in downtown Holly and find yourself with a few hours to kill, you could do worse than browsing through this sprawling antiques warehouse.
Located on two floors in an incredibly old, beautiful building that is as much of an antique as the items it houses, this antiques emporium has everything- antique furniture, ephemera, objects d' arte, books, coins, stamps, glassware, dolls, ornaments, toys, silver, jewelry, you name it. If you're willing to dig around a bit, a trip here it worth it. It's takes some time and a little investigating to see everything during one visit, so it's best to plan a trip around it and waste a few hours looking around instead of trying to cram everything in at once.
They have a large selection of Art Deco jewelry and antiques, such as lamps and decorative pieces. I happen to love most anything Art Deco and came away quite impressed with the selection. I also liked the array of colorful vintage dishware upstairs, including trademarked Fiestaware from the 40's and 50's, plus a slew of additional vintage dishware and kitchen gadgets from the 20's to the 60's. I thought they had a great selection of rarer Fiestaware pieces and unique colors, too. They had beautiful, ornate wood furniture, too, most from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, much of it lovingly restored.
I thought the prices were pretty reasonable on most items. As with every antiques store, they had certain items at a higher end price point, primarily antique tables, cabinets, pianos, and artwork, and ones at the low end, like some of the ephemera, glassware and costume jewelry. Overall, the items seemed priced reasonably and the pieces were in good condition, especially bigger ticket pieces like furniture.
Every single time I've been in here has been like a new experience. The merchandise is always changing and you never know what you might find during a second or third trip here. It makes it worth a return visit, for certain.
