Also, you are always paid in cash--no gift cards or checks here. Their office is on the first floor of a corporate office building in St. Louis Park. It is bright and spacious, and they have a separate smaller waiting area with a door replete with a Keurig machine/pods, snacks, and a fridge with soda and water and other beverages. There are also several conference rooms where the focus groups take place. The only reason I gave it four stars is sometimes, their follow through with communication can be a bit lax. For instance, you may receive a call from them about participating in a study, but the person calling may not leave a voice mail. Then, when you call back, you're not able to reach a live person right away. Sometimes, they will call you again the next day, and other times, you never hear back from them. It can prove to be frustrating when you want to get in on one of the studies for which you qualify. Other than that, they're another good alternative in the way of making a little extra money on the side. I do recommend them.

They took the time to go over my technical background in a detailed manner that revealed that they have a large amount of knowledge of the industry, asking all the right questions. I felt as though they really listened to what was most important for me in my next job, comparing each of their available placements to that list and really evaluating if I would be happy there and if I could help bring success to that company. The last time I participated in a group here, I was forced to take my payment as an electronic debit card that gets added to the Apple wallet/Google wallet, etc. I was initially fine with that until I learned that I could not use it in very many places at all. I would say approximately 70% of the apps I attempted to use it on declined, due to some apparent error with the zip code. I contacted the issuer and worked through everything, but it didn't help. Still declined med more often than not. On top of that, I was unable to use it in person at all. When I tried to use it in-store, the terminal always required a PIN, which these cards do not have. In the end, I simply had to let my balance expire, which left me with a really bad taste in my mouth. I would never take part in another focus group if that is the payment method.
