It is a venue that has a lot of potential, with both the inside of the building and the outdoor field where ABR is held available as potential space. I guess I would say that I feel the ABR is too big for this venue and there are parking issues (not to mention the wrap-around-the-block hour-long wait to get through the gate). Other things I've been to at this facility seemed better suited. For the record, I do think that reusing an old building period is awesome. It's way better than just letting it sit there. :-)

Everything that's sold are one-of-a-kind pieces and are quite amazing. From paper mache' sculptures (definitely worth checking out) , New Zealand reclaimed wood tables, low temp fired ceramics, paintings with prices all over the spectrum and of course, photography and more. The cool thing though is that with the gallery owner, Nance, has space in the back which could be used for other events besides showings. Not big events, but smaller ones and obviously you would need to talk to her about what your trying to do but she came off as pretty cool and open to ideas. Nance has history of doing things in the city around the arts scene and if you've been to Macy's for their holiday display, you've seen her work. This part of West 7th (3-4 block area?) is really starting to pop and one could park in the middle and walk around, eat, drink, and shop their way to the different businesses and this place, is definitely worth a stop.

There's prints at decent prices and then originals for sale, too! Those are far more expensive, but I feel they are worth it. The owner is very nice and can tell you about any of the pieces, even if you just mention a type of animal or anything else. He's also very quick to respond to emails! And when buying an art piece (at least a framed one) he puts a type of protective wrap around it so less chance of damaging when in the car/going home. He also gives advice on how to properly hang it! I wish the outside of the building wasn't so run down, but I won't fault him for that! The inside and the owner is what matters, as well as, of course, the art pieces themselves. Also he changes the art on the walls every day! Not all the pieces, but there's always something "new" on the walls.
