Awful company, stay away! After years of paying the monthly monitoring fee we sold our house. Since…read morethe new house had an alarm monitored by another alarm company we canceled with AAA and they demanded two months of payments. They credited one month and I paid for the second month. Several months later I get a letter from their collection agency demanding one month of monitoring fees. Not even one letter asking for payment so no opportunity to pay the balance even though the rep waived the fee verbally over the phone. Deceitful or incompetent? I was looking to install a new alarm system in my new house, now I know I will not be using AAA. Is this how you treat a customer who paid you consistently for 14 years without one missed payment AAA? Send them to collections over one freaking payment? One that was billed by mistake (obviously since we didn't even receive a final bill or statement).

Dakota Lock and Safe Review:…read more Horrible experience: 1) said they would arrive between 11am-12pm--40 minutes late... no one calls to notify 2)did not indicate that i had to show proof of ownership of house before they would do any work...wasting my time as i showed up at my rental property with no proof. 3)asked for 3 locks to be rekeyed out of 4...they assumed and rekeyed the wrong one. 4)asked specifically for 9 keys...they made 4. Those are the facts, what was most disappointing is the the owner decided to recreate his own narrative and and wasnt interested in making his customer happy when i suggested that they go back and do what i asked at no further charge...put the blame on the customer and wanted nothing to do with making things right... Saying sorry means absolutely nothing unless your willing to go above and beyond , whether its giving a discount or canceling a charge etc... oh and what made it even better is that they charged me $178 and when i asked for a discount Lexx replied that she already gave a discount but when i picked up my invoice it showed full charges...so she tried to deceive me as this transaction was done over the phone....I was very angry about this... dustin the service guy thought i should just accept him being late as "it's just part of the industry" ...Lexx dropped the ball in not asking the proper questions in taking the order and then trying to deceive me but Don the owner was the most unprofessional as he had no interest in understanding or acknowledging the bad experience i had, and threatened to take me to the credit bureau if i did a charge back on my credit card...which is exactly what i did.... He clearly pushed the idea upon me that i am just one customer and since he's been doing this for 30 years that he would be fine if walked away ...well that maybe so but i will fill up all the noted review sites with this experience...everything i said is the truth and i will not use these guys again...hopefully they can improve in the future.

The entire experience was a pleasure and I will never look further if I need a locksmith again. The technicians were extremely knowledgeable and polite (even when I asked them a million questions!) I spoke to a 'Don' (I think his name was) and he took the time to explain everything thoroughly, was gracious and even did a follow up to ensure I was satisfied with the entire situation. Cannot recommend these guys any higher. If I could give 10 stars I would. Dakota Lock and Safe are Rockstars. Keep up the good work!
