If I could give Holden's Wrecker Service more than 5 stars, I would! We had an unexpected car issue late at night, and Jerry came to our rescue with his sweet dog, Fern. They made such a great team. From the moment they arrived, my daughters and I felt safe and completely at ease. Jerry arrived quickly, charged a fair price, and handled my daughter's brand-new car with such care and professionalism. You could tell he has years of experience and genuinely takes pride in his work. Jerry and Fern were truly our heroes that night. If you ever need a towing service, I highly recommend Holden's Wrecker Service! God bless Jerry for his goodness:-) read more

Terrible service and experience. Will never go back for a brake tag. I try to help local business but going forward will go to Firestone.

Inspection sticker. Was quick and efficient. I had gone to three places before going there and they either wee no longer providing this service or it was only on certain times and one didn't say why but had a sign in entrance closed read more

The crew with Holdens has been there for us again in our time of need, and they are phenomenal! They have had to tow our classic car to the shop when it wouldn't run due to bad fuel, and they went above and beyond to take care of us the entire time. I was also in an accident where I was hit at an intersection in town during the holiday weekend, and they allowed me to retrieve items from my vehicle when they were closed and way after hours! The employee didn't rush us, and was beyond helpful! I had to go back today for the remainder of my items from my vehicle, and two employees assisted me! Me giving these guys 5 stars is small in comparison to what they deserve. I'd give 10 if it were allowed. Thank you guys so much for being there for us each time we were in need! read more

Holden's Wrecker Service - Roadside Assistance Near Me - Covington, Louisiana

See all

Got a flat on my way to FL for Christmas. Jeremy got to me almost 30 minutes faster than expected. He was cool about me and my dog getting in his truck. He got me to the tire shop 15 minutes before they closed so I could get a new tire that night. Very friendly as well. Highly recommend. read more

I'n horrid hwy 21 traffic they got there in record time tech cleaned off battery terminals gave us a quick jump and sent us on our way

I found Holden's on the internet. I called them up and within 2 hours my broken down vehicle was back in New Orleans at a reasonable price! Excellent driver! Thanks again! read more

My truck had to be towed and not only were they reasonable on the price they were extremely sufficient. They driver was running a little behind but apologized when he arrived and when he dropped my truck off as well. Very friendly and professional. Will definitely use them in the future if I need towing assistance! read more

Horrible customer service! I Got in a car accident and this company had no clue on what collision place they dropped my car off at! i know this because my insurance company called them and i was told they were highly confused on where my car might be. my insurance company and enterprise car rental were both told different things, so you can see my concern about this. I spoke with the owner and he cursed me out, called me stupid, and told me he was tired of hearing about this car. Never in my life have i been disrespected like that. I suggest you have you car towed by a different company because they don't take accountability of their mistakes and they don't care and sloppy is what they are. I can't believe i had this experience with an owner all because i asked where my car was at. read more

Rented UHaul truck. Not the most efficient operation around. Returned truck, charged me $20 for pad lock not returned when it was in cup holder. When I complained, they said they found it under the seat. They tried to pull a fast one. Nice try. Beware! read more

Disgusting service, guy said "mother f" under breath when I told him I needed a break tag.

Came on their Yelp page to try to find a contact number to complain about one of their drivers tailgating me and then blowing their horn at me as soon as the light turned green while flipping me off and screaming. Read all the other reviews and laughed because these people really are absolutely rude and awful. Never want to do business here much less drive on the same road as these people again read more

I went and got an inspection sticker here last week and got the rudest service ever. I should have known because I've been there before and it was the same. Its like a big chore for them to deal with the one paying costumer in the shop. I guess they don't want any business. I've been there to get propane tanks filled, my broke down car towed and inspection and got the worst service and attitude ever. I will NEVER go there again!! read more

Got a vehicle towed today and the tow truck driver was very rude. I'm not sure if he stayed up all night partying the night before but to treat complete strangers that way was annoying to say the least. I normally don't write reviews but we were very angry with how we were treated. read more

My daughter and I visited Holden for a brake inspection the gentlemen there were soo nice ...kept us laughing. ..In and out in 20 minutes...Thanks guys for the great service read more

Very helpful in a stressful situation when my neighbor's car was involved in an accident

Do Not Use! Extremely rude. I called to get pricing on towing a vehicle and they man on the phone says $80.00 then say no $90.00 for a tow less than 4 miles away. When I used roadside assistance they only charged them $65.00 for the tow and it was longer than 4 miles. These unprofessional mouth breathers should be run out of business. I recommend people call another tow company and not use Holden's read more

FYI if you see a broken down vehicle on the side of the road, please slow down and move to the far lane. Over half of the cars last night stayed in the lane closest to my truck making for a very dangerous situation!!!! read more

Do NOT ever use Holden in Covington to get your car inspected. I just took my car to them and they charged me $20 dollars, then proceeded to tell me that my tint was too dark without ever inspecting my vehicle further. When I told the gentleman I wanted my money back he said nope I inspected it. I said are you serious? He replies (we can get the f@&$-!* state police here right now? Real nice huh?! Seriously? So I'm now out $20 dollars and no brake tag! How's that for honest service read more

I don't even know where to start. My in laws were in a terrible accident while driving back home in their truck pulling their 5th wheel. Totaled both and left them pretty banged up, these guys kept their spirits high and assisted with every need they had graciously. Simpson was amazing and so very kind. He made sure we stayed hydrated, helped us unload heavy boxes and checked on us quite often while we cleaned up the mess. Happy to have my family by my side and to know there are still good people out there that will go above and beyond. Thank you guys :) read more

Had similar experience as Brian. Found friendlier places to do business.

Rude, I mean one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. I am in shock that he had the audacity to actually call me and yell at me! So very unprofessional in every way. There is not one good or half way decent thing I can say about this company. One star is even too good of a rating. They deserve zero stars. I had to block their number in my phone to stop the harassing calls. Be advised that under no circumstances should anyone make the mistake of giving this sad establishment any form of business. read more

Stopped for a brake tag and ended up leaving having experienced the most rude and sleezy man I've ever encountered. Spare yourself, there's plenty of other places around to do business with than this pitiful excuse of a business. read more

Horrible! They wreck my storage shed never called me to tell me what happened. Mr. Jimmy (owner) was supposed to give me the deductible $1000 and only gave me $700. When i asked for my complete money, he hang up several times, he cursed at me and told me he was going to call the police if I kept asking for my money. I waited 6 months to get money from him. Horrible experience, he took the money because he can. No standards whatsoever! Run away from this place!!! read more

Being from out of state, getting an inspection sticker/brake tag is a dreaded ordeal that takes a minimum of an hour, if you're lucky. Went to Holden's today for my Louisiana tag and was out in approx. 15 minutes. Unbelievably fast service. Thanks, Holden's! read more

There is not a star low enough to mark this place. These are the rudest people you will ever meet. I went to Holden's to get an inspection sticker for my car. The person at the desk was reading the paper and looked at me like he could not believe I was bothering him. After asking a question about my tag he basically told me I could either get the sticker or I could get out. I was completely appalled by their service. I try my best to support the local services in the area, but I will NEVER go here again. read more

I'm glad to see a male perspective on this place. I went there once some years ago for an inspection sticker and got the creeps so bad that I refuse to ever take another vehicle there again! I thought it was just a female-based feeling, but I guess not! Now that I'm faced with a dilemma that my sticker expired yesterday and the only place to get in and out of easily on a lunch hour is out of stickers, I'd almost rather get a ticket than return to Holden's! read more

I'm not sure what the bad reviews are about. These guys are amazing!!! They were dispatched to me from State Farm's road side assistance company and they were given the wrong destination by State Farm. My car was towed from Hammond to Covington instead of Mandeville. The driver had already unloaded my car when my husband realized it was the wrong repair shop. The driver waited for my husband to call me, then for me to call his boss and State Farm. Then he re-loaded my car and brought it to Mandeville. I was over my mileage limit for towing by State Farm so I had to pay the overage. Even though it was not their mistake, they only charged me for the tow to Covington saving me $34!!!!! We dealt with a couple people at the wrecker service, plus the driver and they were all very friendly and super helpful. I would recommend these guys to anyone!!!! They really went above and beyond what was expected to ensure our car was towed in a timely manner to where we needed it to go! Thank you!!!! read more

One star is even too much credit for this company! This towing company is the most unprofessional company I have ever encountered. A tow truck driver from this service towed my vehicle today at around noon. It was being towed 36 miles. At 4:50pm my vehicle finally arrived to it's destination after hours of frantic searching by myself and this company. The company almost had to call the police because they could not find the driver. I was as calm as possible with the situation and Holden's was working with me to figure out where my car was and after my car finally arrived at the destination, the owner of Holden's was the terribly rude to me when I was asking what happened. I still haven't gotten an answer from him on where my car was. Also, his truck driver asked me for toll money. Not the protocol for a towing company. The owner even said so himself that he should have never done that. I used AAA so I shouldn't have paid anything. Not to mention, about two months ago I had this same company tow my car because AAA calls them every time for my area and they never even showed up for the tow the entire day. AAA had to call a different company from another city to get my car towed that time because the wrecker never showed. These people are so rude! I was absolutely shocked! Do not ever use this company! You could lose your car for hours or the driver may never even show up! Do yourself a favor and find another company everybody! read more
