I just moved into a home in Gainesville which has a well. I have no experience with wells. I woke…read moreup on the third morning to discover that the water wasn't running in the house at all. I had no idea what the problem was. I called Gainesville Plumbing and John and Josh were able to get to my house within a couple of hours. John quickly diagnosed the problem. It wasn't serious and he told me what to do to prevent that problem from happening again. He and Josh also fixed several minor issues for me while they were there. They charged me a very fair price. They were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I will definitely use them again and I've already recommended them to a couple of friends.

After concrete is done and 2nd bit of plumbing is done and I discover it's not a frost free pump but a spigot on my wood wall, I went back and let Lane Stringer know that what I asked for was a frost free pump. His response: "we don't do those inside.". uh, it's a BARN. I tried to insist and got a lot of push back so unfortunately I gave up. if he couldn't do one he should have said so and NOT proceeded to do something I did not want and charge me for it. then make an excuse. We Don't do those inside and not even offer my money back because he knew he wasn't doing what I asked for. I'd rather have nothing than a pipe that's a freeze risk in the middle of my barn. 2) failed first inspection 3) left out water pipes to toilet and I had to call them back and ask them to put those in. The guy who actually did that work was really nice. Maybe just not trained and not enough support. 4) when I called after it was all done when we turned the water on there was muck in the pipes. a couple of nice young men came and got most of it cleared except the toilet filling is too slow and the spigot doesn't work. it didn't matter because it wasn't what I wanted in the first place. A pipe was broken outside however everything was cleaned out and prevented from moving out of that pipe because that vendor is a great guy and was preventing problems Lane of course starts finger pointing that it's not their fault -it was the broken pipe. He and I both know it was not clearing the pipes in the slab before attaching the other plumbing that created the. Blockages. I don't like finger pointers Who don't take responsibility. But the best part was his response to me was that he felt like this was adversarial from the beginning. I'm the customer and I asked for a frost free pump And got unreasonable pushback and was very uncomfortable, of course I am now adversarial. I think everything will be a fight. Wish I'd fired him as soon as he gave me push back and wasn't solution oriented. I wish I'd never paid the bill. If I had not paid the bill, I could afford to have somebody come back and jackhammer up the concrete and put in the frost free pump that I actually want.

System could not be repaired or made to work because lines between house and tank were put in fill dirt without proper foundation and tank placed far from the house. An honest and reliable company came in and installed a great system right where North Georgia Environmental (NGE) was supposed to in the first place. Now I'm paying out over 10k to replace the ugly retaining wall that NGE needlessly made in the front yard. It will be another couple of thousand to crush and fill the outdated plastic two septic tank system that they convinced us that we needed. (Didn't). To top it off, when NGE wanted cash immediately for the extra 8K for the elaborate, unnecessary, dysfunctional and overpriced system, we only had the 10K that they quoted for the system. So they put a lien on our house. Eventually we were able to pay the extra 8K. So if you're looking for financial ruin, sewage in your home and replacing bad work, North Georgia Environmental is the right call! Was the switch from a regular cement tank to the convoluted dysfunctional system done deliberately by NGE to get rid of old plastic tanks in their stock, or did they really not know what they were doing? I have an opinion and so does the company that replaced NGE's work.
