It's a neat little place. I have seen several set ups in different states. The concept is great and portions are good. We had a large group of people. They took a few people at a time and then made order and did it again. Several people's orders were missing extras. We had missing ice cream (sucks cause it's $1.75/scoop) and I was missing coconut flakes. Only the most basic orders were correct. Delightfully fluffy, delicately sweet. Serving up tastes and teases of summer here when the snow has started melting away in the high desert! Living on the islands of aloha nostalgia and childhood memories coming back to me in the most unexpected place. It's been over a hot decade since my last shave ice experience and this was better than I can remember of any. It was just a few days after this season's opening day--we spontaneously stopped in here for dessert after a sports game wrapped up and delighted for something refreshingly different in town. We were greeted warmly with the aloha spirit. I believe it was Abby who gave us recommendations and patiently took our order while we eventually decided upon The 808 Hokulia Combination with scoop of ice cream inside. Took about 15 minutes for our shaved ice to come up while we lounged in plentiful seating with all the ohana around us on a pleasant evening.
