The second year 2014 we just found out this year they did them but never filed them so the IRS came after us for money that we never knew we owed because it was never filed! My husband went in there today to tell them about this and ask them to file them after he met with the IRS. They told him they would fax in state and he needed to mail in federal. No apology or anything. Who knows if they are even correct. What a joke of a business.

I was apprehensive about handing over my financial information (and tax liability) to a stranger, but Steve is everything you want in an accountant. Smart, funny, prompt, competent. I asked a bunch of (ignorant and useless) questions and Steve had an answer for each one. He and his firm are extremely reasonably priced and likely found WAY more deductions in my taxes than the fee he charged--so I'm sure I came out ahead. He ALSO likely kept me out of trouble with the IRS given the complicated tax situation we were facing this year. Taxes? No fun. But working with Steve makes taxes a lot less horrible. And that's saying a lot. We will absolutely use Steve next year and I look forward to pumping this kid out for an additional tax write-off.

He made the process quick and painless. Shortly before the close on our new home, we had some damage to our old home, which caused me to call him to inquire about filing a claim. Last Wednesday, my daughter was in a fairly bad accident a few minutes from our home. Her car was…read morehit on the driver's side by a larger SUV. The impact deployed both airbags and caused significant damage to her vehicle. Thank God, my daughter walked away with superficial, minor injuries! Chad Doubleday happened to be mowing a yard right across the street from where my daughter's car came to a stop. He was there in seconds, helped her out of the vehicle, called the police, and called me. He took pictures of the vehicles and the accident scene, and he stayed with us the entire time as the police filled out a report and until the vehicles were towed away. He even started answering our questions about "what next". Chad ended up taking the report directly from the police officer and DIA handled everything so that we could focus on getting our daughter home. His calming and supportive presence throughout along with follow-up from his brother, Chris (our agent), and Shawna really gave us all a sense of security. And as a Nationwide policy holder and employee, I can truly say that DIA as a whole exemplifies the "On Your Side" promise in a big way. I do realize that it's unreasonable to expect your insurance agent to be helping you out of your wrecked car seconds after an accident. However, the spontaneous and unplanned customer service from Chad was so compelling that I had to share this story. As an additional evidence of DIA's commitment to their clients, I found out that the reason Chad was mowing that yard was to help out some elderly clients of DIA who need a little help from time to time to care for their home.
