You're thinking.. How is that possible? Try it. She has all the fixins of that home town feel right in the heart of Des Moines. She has seen my financial and life situation change over the years from college and part-time jobs to full time jobs, to marriage and divorce, to buying a house and soon enough a child. The physical growth of this business over the years is a testament to the clientele she is getting and maintaining. The last two years I paid in for missteps I was making, and Carla troubleshooted me through it and I got it figured out. I'm so accustomed to waiting 2 hours to be seen and have my taxes done, but this time even with my interest income, student loan interest payments, moving expenses, NY state and Iowa State filing, she did out married filing jointly taxes in about 20-30 minutes. The fee is really reasonably considering the complexity, accuracy, and timeliness. I recommend calling in advance and scheduling an appointment to meet with her to prepare your taxes. Ann herself is really nice, welcoming and I highly recommend her. She is fully licensed CPA and professional. I'm always on the look out for a great tax preparer and avoid the big chains whenever possible because those types tend to hire seasonal tax preparers who don't have CPA licenses.

Recently had my tax return for 2015 done with one of Michaels associates. Was quick and accurate…read more She found an error in our previous years return which was done by another firm in the amount of little more than $700.00 in our favor. Great so far. But this is where it goes south. She said she needed 3 or 4 days for her boss to look it over. Called her after 8-9 days to see if done. Now she says it's not done and they are now "too busy" to look it over and we would have to wait for up to a month. I then write them a letter telling her how disappointed I am that she is not doing as she had said she would do. So they now finish our return but add that I should find someone else to do next years return. I then email the owner asking for a meeting to resolve this unfortunate situation and am told he is too busy for even a short meeting and gives me the brush off. I understand they are busy in the tax season but holy cow this is a little much.
