I've never missed an appointment, have always paid on time, and have maintained a courteous relationship with the staff. Over the past year, I've experienced some health complications that have understandably caused me a great deal of anxiety. As a result, I've had more questions than usual regarding my lab results and even requested additional testing to better understand my health. At no point was I confrontational or disrespectful--just a concerned patient trying to advocate for myself. A few days ago, I attempted to log into the online portal to request a prescription refill, only to find I had been locked out. When I called the office for help, I was shocked to learn I had been dismissed from the practice--without any prior notice. They could not even give me a reason. Only that it Is what was decided I belive this is because I had been "asking too many questions." There had been no conflicts, no missed appointments, and no issues with payment--just a patient with chronic health conditions seeking clarity and care. I rarely leave reviews, but I find this situation to be deeply unethical and unprofessional. If the practice felt my needs were beyond their scope, a conversation and referral would have been appropriate. Instead, I was cut off from care with no warning or support in finding alternative providers. Patients should never be penalized for taking an active role in their health.

You'll never have a five minute visit with Dr. Meyers, he takes the time to listen to your health concerns and explains things (what is wrong, what the meds do, what you can do to improve, etc.). If you just want an in and out doc, go to VMC or VFM. If you want someone that truly cares, and will take the time with you to explain your healthcare, there's no better place to go in Valdosta!!

She will send you for blood work, MRI, X-ray, or anything she feels is necessary to diagnose your condition. In today's society not many doctors want to take on a patient that needs meds or has numerous medical issues because they think you just want medication or they can't just get you in and out like herding cattle. I have found Dr Patterson not afraid to jump on any medical problems you have and be willing to address any issues to be able to treat you.
