I really shouldn't recommend this place because I don't want anyone else to know how amazing the food is. This way there's more for me! Today was my first time but it'll be my regular stop every time I'm in FoCo. Make sure you use the hot BBQ sauce.

When you bbq you talk about having a bark on your meat. This place has a literal bark on it. This means you cannot chew it. The regular bbq sauce was ok. The beans are watery and on the bland side. The potato salad was on the watery side as well. The prices are not comparable to the quality of food.

Me and my wife found this hidden gem while hunting for mattress sets for my kids. I saw it and promptly looked it here on Yelp. I see it had good reviews so after some debate we decided to give it a try. (The wife wanted something else but conceded to prevent me going from hungry too hangry. ) First it's a very small dining room. So if get take out for larger groups. But we found a recently vacated spot while ordering and promptly sat so we wouldn't lose it. Yes, they were busy. We both got the same thing, the rib special with about 4 pork ribs each and two sides. We both had the cowboy beans and potato salad. The potato salad was really good. We both devoured them. She did not like the beans so much as she prefers traditional style baked beans however I liked them a lot as I don't usually like baked beans. These were more like a meatless chili. I liked them and ate both of them, lol. The ribs were good bit not great. They had very good smoked flavor and were cooked well but they still had the membrane on the underside which can make them a little tougher than without. There were several different types of BBQ sauce and to our disappointment we didn't see the "Carolina style" mustard sauce until we were on our way out. I would highly recommend this place for good BBQ at a good price.

First time here and literally so good!! Staff was super nice and helped me out on how to go about things. Gave me some good tips! Definitely coming back and order was ready in less then 10-15 mins! I really liked their beans, ribs, and sauce out of everything! Go to rib place!

It's been years since I ate here. My family and I ordered and picked up food here for dinner and to me it wasn't very good. We got pulled chicken and pulled pork sandwiches. One pork platter. I dont know what the chicken tasted like but the pork was absolutely salty and dry...couldn't even taste the pork. Had to drench in bbq sauce that I already had at home. The pork platter is almost $12 and thats what you see in the photo... for a grown adult... a grown fit male is supposed to be satisfied with this?.... When I first opened it I thought it was a mistake so I called them up and they said yup thats what its supposed to be. Sorry but thats a rip off. Thought platters were supposed to be big meals/portions. ALSO my mom found plastic in her sandwich! what the hell!!!??? This place is officially not safe to eat at. Not to mention again her pork sandwich was dry and so was mine. Never eating here again or recommending.

Just went yesterday, first time going since I heard about it favorably. So the place is off-campus and kind of a shack (which is how bbq should be done), and the food came out really quick. And oh boy, the rib portions for 8 bucks is huge; I had 2 pieces and was beyond full. The lack of the 5th star is due to the bbq sauce being meh. Spicy sauce was not spicy, reg was a bit oversugary. I mean the ribs, cole slaw, everything else was good and came in large portions (meaning you'll certainly be full), but having been to stellar bbqs, such as Black Dogs in Urbana, IL, I have to say that the ribs were not as tender or juicy or seasoned as they could be.

We needed food and we needed a lot of it, so we headed to our favorite barbecue joint in town. Everyone at the counter was masked and gloved up, which is always a good start! I ordered the three meat platter with smoked chicken wings, brisket and pulled pork, selecting potato salad and baked beans as the sides. After a short wait, the huge tray was set down in front of us and we dug in. The smoked wings are some of the best wings I've had in Fort Collins! Tender, crispy and piping hot! The brisket was a little tougher than I had hoped, but still full of flavor. The pulled pork stole the show, however - juicy and falling apart on the plate with just the right amount of sizzling fat, drizzled with a sweet and slightly tangy barbecue sauce. Originally we had thought that we'd have leftovers to reheat at home but, as you can see, that didn't happen. We demolished the plates and ripped through the perfectly prepared potato salad and maple-sweet baked beans, then debated getting dessert. The debate was short and we rounded out the meal with a container of banana pudding that had notes of cinnamon and vanilla, topped traditionally with a Nilla wafer. Once the meat sweats stop (SO. MUCH. MEAT), we'll be heading back for another mountainous platter!

They're rated really high -- actually one of the highest-rated restaurants in Fort Collins -- and from a food perspective I don't really understand why. Sliders with sweet potato fries -- fine, nothing extraordinary. Potato éclairs -- . It was really just mashed potatoes with some topping on it. I honestly didn't even finish it. Mountain oysters -- huge letdown. They came out so overcooked they were basically crunchier than potato chips, with the batter crumbling off. I've never had them before, so I didn't get a good representation of how they're supposed to be -- these were just super-cooked batter. On the space: we ended up sitting in three different spots to eat. We went outside by the street first -- super loud, and people were smoking, so we headed back in. The open spot inside was right under the AC and about forty degrees, so we moved to the back area. The back was fine -- covered -- but pretty dirty, with mop buckets and clutter sitting around. The one drink I had was a good value since we were there at happy hour -- some kind of fruity whiskey drink. It was fine, but nothing I'd seek out again. I hate to give such a friendly place a bad review. It'd be a really great spot if you're a college student who wants some cheap bites and a drink -- but honestly it's just bar food, and the ceiling is probably a 4 on a really good day. I wouldn't get excited to head down there, and parking is a bit of a hassle too. Would recommend only if you're after very cheap eats in that area -- check them out for happy hour. But I would not return.

After placing your order, they give you a number to place on your table and the staff brings your food to your table. From there, you're basically on your own. This simplifies the experience so you can get whatever you need without staff assistance. You'll also leave your dishes and trash by the bin on your way out. My favorite spice level is the Nashville hot. It has the perfect seasoning without being overly salty. My go-to order is the wedgie garden veggie salad that includes mixed greens with bacon, blue cheese, tomato, snap peas, red onion. Ranch, Honey Mustard, Red Wine Vin, or Lemon Vin. You can choose crispy tenders, thigh, grilled breast, or tempeh with your wedgie salad. I choose the tenders and the salad comes with two of them. I also order a side of the fries. I always leave with leftovers and feel so full at the end of my meal. Music City Hot Chicken is one of my top picks to get good chicken in FoCo. I highly recommend!

I'll start by saying that I really enjoyed the sauce. We got a 32 oz bottle of Mild and Medium, and both are delicious. Atmosphere was lively, and though we ordered take out, they were absolutely on top of the busy on-goings while we waited. That said, when we got home I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed. The wings were crispy, so they were cooked well. And as discussed, the flavor of the sauce was good. But the actual wings themselves were so small. This is unfortunately the exact reason we've stopped visiting another wing place. Great sauce, but the value due to the literal size of the wing is poor, at best. The restaurant business is a tight balancing act, but when you sacrifice quality to inflate margins it shows.
