Let me start by saying I do not write reviews especially not bad ones…read more I was referred to McNulty Law offices by an affiliate of theirs Sokolove Law for a case i need help with for Elder Neglect, i have called McNulty law offices 5 times from May 5 - May 14 with only the answer from the call taker, we will call you back shortly.....on May 14 after calling them yet again I "finally" got a response back at 11:15 am in the form of a text asking if I will be available at 3 pm for a call from them(very professional)......i replied sure that I am available any time......at 5:35 pm I texted back that number asking when will I get a call back so, around 6 pm they texted back asking if I was still interested on working with them.....such a disrespect from a Law Firm that can not pick up a phone to talk with a potential client but resorting to a text.....shame on them.....I will NEVER EVER recommend or refer anyone to your firm or your affiliate Sokolove Law. To start with, I met him for a free consultation and ended up with a $2,000.00 bill. During this first consultation he introduced me to Ann Moder, his junior lawyer and from there on, I would only hear from Mitch ( as he likes to be called) when he would send me the bill at the end of the month saying: With compliments Mitchell Jacobs. he was not even revising the work that his junior lawyer "Ann Moder" was doing, with many mistakes and unnecessary things. They didn't even file or ask the opposition for the most basic documents and off course never filed for the ones that I have asked from day one and that were fundamental to the case. I had a Post Nuptial Agreement, which the terms were proposed by my husband and signed by him and all I have asked him to do from the very beginning was to send the ex a proposal to settle under the same terms and conditions and finish with it. I had to keep begging her and him to send a letter with a proposal and many emails and many $$$$$$$$ spent. Mr Mitchell knew that on top of being abused by my ex for the past 5 years, he took all money and it was now all overseas, we had only one chance with one company and he never sent this company a proper ""subpoena asking for the relevant documents. He also knew that my ex was taking advantage of me in relation to my children and inventing all sorts of lies. In sum, I had NO LAWYER to protect myself. Pls be very careful. They know that we are in a very delicate situation and they take advantage of "ALL" of us. The first question that they try to get out of you, it is how much are you trying to get out of the divorce. This is because they are after a percentage of the total and they do not want to bother if it is not enough. If you have fired your lawyer and you are interviewing others, pls do yourself a favor and always ask if they have ever had a relationship or work in the same office with the lawyer that you have fired. Very often you will find out, that these lawyers have worked with each other at a certain point. Unfortunately I made this mistake as well, as I did not have anybody to guide me. I was never involved with lawyers and I did not know anybody that did, specially divorce lawyers. I have interviewed a couple after this one and now I understand the outcome, as I found out where his junior lawyer is working now. I wish you all the best on your search.
