Bring your own bags or do what I do, grab an empty or nearly empty box and use that as your bags. My mom and I did this when I was growing up and shopping at Aldi in my hometown. It must not be common practice in Europe though because I always get such weird looks when I'm strutting down the sidewalk with a cardboard box full of groceries. I'm helping save the planet too judge-y mcjudgepants so avert those eyes. Aldi has a great selection of affordable and amazing wine too. Their bread and pastries are baked fresh in the store.
