Started off the day with zero intentions to buy a Mazda. Was about ready to buy another brand and figured might as well stop and look. Donavan Smith quickly greeted is but was not pushy at all. He asked what brought us in and we informed him we were looking for a base model car for our 16 year old daughter. Long story short, because of Donavan, not only did we buy a brand new car for our daughter but also traded in a 22 Toyota for a new CX30. All around friendly staff but Donavan is next level great.

We all get it, buying a car is tough. Everyone is working hard to earn your business and it can seem pushy and awkward. I could write a long review about my great buying experience at Hodges, but I'll save you the time. Just go to Hodges and ask for Chief Hartwick. You'll be happy you did! They were most professional, not pushy, and worked quickly.

These are two pictures taken of just some of the damage found underneath the old engine, when it was replaced.

My wife and I had bought our son a used 2011 Hyundai Sonata from Hodges Mazda that they had assured us had never been in an accident. We thought it a bit suspicious, because the front bumper was hanging off the car on the passenger side when they presented the car to us as an option in our price range. They played it off very nonchalantly; as if it was nothing, and got the bumper back on the car when we returned the following day. We tried to investigate the VIN number on our own to see if we could find anything to the contrary, but we were unable to. we didn't see anything else wrong with the car at the time, and the school year was about to start so we went ahead and purchased the vehicle. Fast forward to the present - it's two years later and Hyundai has a recall on their engines; which encompasses our son's 2011 Hyundai Sonata. So we bring it into Key Hyundai on Southside Boulevard (who, by the way, I highly recommend if you're ever shopping for a car). Key Hyundai replaced the engine but had one hell of a time getting the old one out, because it was found the car was, in fact, in a front end accident that requires the following parts be replaced: the radiator core support, the radiator assembly, the A/C condensor, the exhaust flex pipe, all of the lower engine covers were torn away and the evac and recharge after the A/C condensor is replaced. All OEM parts, labor and services totaled $4,000. All of this was hidden under the engine when the car was sold to us as a "thoroughly inspected and approved automobile for resale"; which is HIGHLY AGAINST THE LAW. This so-called dealership is the absolute worst I have ever encountered in my 55 years of life. It kills me to even give it the one star review, but I couldn't post this without at least selecting a star. This car was not an inexpensive investment to begin with. Hodges Mazda has done absolutely nothing to help us, and denies they knew anything about the damage to the car. PLEASE don't make the same mistake we did. Please go somewhere else and save yourself a lot of heartache, time and money. You've been forewarned.

They tack on a couple thousand $$ in dealer add ons and won't sell a car without them. Read the listings very closely, too regarding price.

It was refreshing to find a dealership that was upfront and to the point about every single charge. I told them the payment I was looking for and they were able to get me an interest rate that was almost half of anyone else. I was impressed. The interest rate allowed me to get the vehicle we wanted. I feel the price was very competitive with the other area dealers as well. Gary was great to deal with and Marek was a treasure to deal with. He understood what I wanted and made it happen. Not only that but I had been looking for a credit union to deal with and they made that happen with the financing of this vehicle. I had been to other dealers and got tired of the run around and being mislead about the terms. Personally, I feel if you lie to me about those things to get me in the door, you'll lie to me about everything else and it's game over. Marek understood this. Thanks guys!

During our visit, we were encouraged to move forward with the purchase under that understanding. However, the vehicle had an "AS IS" sticker, not a CPO designation. When we asked about this, the concern was dismissed without a clear explanation. During the test drive, the vehicle shifted itself into park twice while stopped at a light. When we raised this, we were told it might be related to a seat sensor, which did not give us confidence in the explanation. The vehicle also had a cracked windshield, which staff said they had not noticed. As we began asking more questions, communication became limited. When we decided to leave, a manager encouraged us to "just sign" and rely on a 5-day return policy instead. After leaving, we followed up via text requesting CPO documentation. At that point, we were informed the vehicle was not actually Certified Pre-Owned and no certification could be provided. As of this review, the vehicle is still advertised online as CPO while also appearing in the standard used inventory. Three days after our visit, the GM contacted me regarding this review. During that conversation, he stated the vehicle had not yet been through service or been inspected. While he acknowledged my concerns, he did not address the discrepancies in how the vehicle was presented or the issues we experienced. Based on the inconsistencies in how the vehicle was represented, the condition issues, and how our concerns were handled, we chose not to move forward. I would recommend verifying all details in writing and requesting documentation upfront before making a decision here.

I scheduled an appointment online which was very easy along with getting an email from Nissan of the avenues a few days prior. It was a great deal, full synthetic oil change regularly 89.95 for $49.95. The email also showed a few other great promotions but wanted to take advantage of this great price. I was created nicely by the dealership valet and confirmed my appointment and filled out some paperwork to bring in to my advisor, the process went smoothly and the gentleman was very professional. I also wanted to get my tires rotated and asked for a quote of $23.95. I had asked my service advisor Kathleen if I should get it done and she recommended as this will keep the life of your tires longer. I agreed. She was very welcoming and friendly and confirmed my information and asked if I would be waiting for the car. The technician did the job and also recommended a few other preventative maintenance on the car which I declined most at the moment. Because I did get a new air filter in the process , Anthony the Service Manager knocked the price of my tire rotation from $23.99 to $19.95 which was a very nice gesture and great customer service. This is my go to place for all my Nissan needs and I am thankful it's close to home.

Well, this blonde bimbo greeted us and I knew from the start this was going to go bad. So she had us walk over to a desk and we told her what exactly we were looking for and if it's still there in their lot. So she started pulling up their inventory and doing other things and I told her we had the stock number if she needed it and she's like "no, I'm just going to call my coworker because I saw them take off down the road in it and I need to make sure it hasn't sold yet". So then she proceeded to still search their inventory and she's looking at other Jeeps they had and then she asked us for our drivers licenses. That's when I finally stepped in and said look lady, we're just here to see this specific Jeep. We're not interested in any other Jeeps you have on the lot. So she finally gets on the phone and calls her coworker and they told her it was already sold. She could've saved us time by doing what she intended on doing in the first place which she didn't. Worst customer service I ever encountered. We wasted our time just to be told the Jeep had already been sold but yet it's still showing available on their website. Her voice was annoying anyways. I've gone to different car dealerships and I've never had that bad of an experience that I actually had to leave a horrible review.
