I have to go there every time I come to the area to see what is new! There is something for everyone! The proprietor is a wonderful artist too, but the gallery has an abundance of arts and crafts from the region. From barbed-wire baskets, to Native American flutes to knives to pottery to jewelry to fine art from many of the wildlife and western painters of the West.

Inside, is a lovingly converted art gallery, with walls jammed packed with local artists' works in various media. The works range from epic sized paintings, to pottery, to jewelry, to sculpture. There's a lot of talented artists in the area doing mostly paintings of wildlife and landscape scenes. When I went, there were a few patrons browsing, and clerks helping answer any questions. Everything is for sale, and clearly marked with the artists' names, title, and price. The art seems to move in and out through here- it's not a static display. There's no dust on the art frames, anyhow! The gallery is located on the edge of a nice little park with a gazebo and lots of lush grass across the street from the supermarket. It's a perfect place to have a picnic and check out some local culture.

Wow. There are antique stores with more than you can absorb, mostly of the junky stuff, and then…read morethere are places like this: an antique store with what might be a specifically curated stash of things old, but still in good shape and still useful. Of course, there are still some campy items, but when they're strategically placed and don't become the rule, it makes for an interesting place of exploration. I was for some reason, drawn to all the cast iron pans -- all old, probably seasoned from years of use in nearby ranches and farms. I'm sure they each had a story. Getting the story was the challenge, though. And if a story is what you want, the owners have them, if you have patience. Like some small towns, there's a certain reticence with out of towners. That's easily overcome by either ignoring it, or facing it head on with asking lots of questions. Interest or money or sometimes both, talks -- everywhere. Stop in. Enjoy the nice antiques, and be sure to get the story that goes with them. It'll be worth it.
